Our annual passes expire Jan 6 or 9 2019. We have a trip booked for The week of Jan 13. Our FP window for 60 days out opens Nov 14. Will we be able to make FPs 60 days out even though technically our APs will be not have been renewed at that time? We’re planning on renewing after Christmas. I’m worried. Advice, AP knowledge, etc? TIA

Yes and Nope.

Same scenario just happened to me. You’ll have to renew your AP’s. You’ll be able (at least I was) to make your FP reservations up to one day past your expiration date. (If they expire on the 9th, you can schedule though the 10th). You’ll have to renew for scheduling the rest of your days.

At least this is what happened to me for my trip in a few weeks.

You must renew before making FPs on dates after your current AP expires.
If your AP booking date(s) will actually be GREATER than 60 days from your AP expiration date,
call Disney and ask that you be allowed to renew farther than 60 days in advance.

I called and was told if I renew our APs 60 days before the expiration, which would be Nov 10, I’d be good to make FPs on Nov 14. She also said if I renew on Nov 10, 2018 the expiration for that set would be Jan 10, 2020, since the expiration for our current ones is Jan 9, 2019. Hope that all makes sense and can help anyone else who has this issue.

1. I called and was told if I renew our APs 60 days before the expiration, which would be Nov 10,

2. I’d be good to make FPs on Nov 14.

3. She also said if I renew on Nov 10, 2018 the expiration for that set would be Jan 10, 2020, since the expiration for our current ones is Jan 9, 2019. Hope that all makes sense and can help anyone else who has this issue.

1. 60 days BEFORE Jan. 9, 2019 is Nov. 10, 2018.
(So, we must assume that the CM saw your current AP anniversary date to be Jan. 9.)

2. Correct.

3. Sorry, but I don't believe that info is incorrect.
A "renewed" AP keeps the same (current) Anniversary date as the previous AP, just one year later.
