Annual Pass vs Florida Resident Pass

Hi

I recently bout a home in Central Florida. I currently have a non-Florida resident annual pass that will expire this month. If I renew my current pass, it is actually less expensive then buying a Florida resident pass. Is there any other benefit to buying a Florida resident pass over the non-Florida pass?

Does the resident pass have a renewal rate? You can change passes at renewal and pay the renewal rate for the different pass.
