We will be in California for 10 days - March 14 - 24. So, I am trying to decide what tickets we will want for the parks.
I was thinking of five day passes and using them for three days at DL and two days at DCA. One day we will spend at Universal Studios. So, that still leaves several open days. And, what if we really want to visit the parks on one or more of those days?!?
Anyway, looked at the Disneyland site and they only offer 1, 3 or 4 day passes. A 4-day Flex pass is $139 and (from my understanding) you can only visit ONE of the parks each day - they are NOT hopper passes.
Well, an annual pass is only $199. So, my thinking is that I may as well buy annual passes. That way, we can hop between parks if we want (right??) and can visit EVERY day if we would like - even if it's only for a short time that time.
My dh is only going to be with us for the first five days, so I will probably just get him a three day pass. But, for the kids and me, I'm thinking an annual pass would be the way to go. From looking on the DL site, it looks as though the only "blackout" dates for the passes while we are there is Saturday. Quite frankly, I was not planning on going to DL on Sat anyway!
Just wanted others opinions about the annual pass and these specific questions answered (can't find the answers at disneyland.com):
1. Are the adult and children's annual pass rates the same or is the children's rate a little cheaper?
2. Are annual pass holders eligible for "early entry" into the parks or is this only for FLEX passholders?
3. Will we be able to use our pass and visit both Disneyland and California Adventure in the same day (park hop)?
