Annual Pass Renewal Question

I just renewed my annual pass a couple weeks ago online. When I renewed them they emailed me printable vouchers.My question is do I have to go to customer relations to renew. I talked with couple different disney reps over the phone and they said my last year annual pass rfid card and my magic band will work to get in the park and I would not have to go to customer service.Also when I log into my disney experience I can make fastpass selections and it shows our annual passes.

I've never heard that before. We've always been required to get new cards--although this was pre-MB days. But in any case, you'll need an up-to-date card for parking and the discounts at the stores. On the other hand, if you are only using your MB and not planning on using discounts, you should be fine. And when your AP MBs come, there will be a discount card in the box.

(All that said, my daughter's AP has never worked on her MB, so I have to bring the card and go to guest services and have a new one issued every. single. time. because the card keeps deactivating itself.)

Were the MBs for your previous APs? Check the expiration date on the card. I have a friend who was sent MBs for her EXPIRED AP. She then had to customize new MBs to get the correct card. If you haven't used your new APs, you shouldn't have received MBs for them. And yes, you will be offered new MBs for your new APs. You will want to go ahead and order them for the updated (correct) discount card.

The magic bands are from the previous annual pass. But from what I understand the previous annual pass rfid card and magic band can be used because the numbers for the annual pass are the same as the previous one..Just the expiration date is changed.

Right, but at the parking entrance and at the cash registers/restaurants, the CMs look only at your name and expiration date on the card. So, if the date has expired, that's going to be a problem. Does that make sense? The card may still work at the tapstiles, though. I can't say for certain.
