Do you need to have the annual pass or voucher when checking in with the annual pass rate?

My confirmation slip, for my next trip using the AP Rate, specifically says that I will need the pass at check in.

We recently (August) stayed at CBR at the AP rate. You must show the Pass, not the voucher, to register. If you have a voucher you need to activate it before you check in.

SEC, You DO NOT need your pass when checking in. They will ask you to see your pass when you check in if you don't have it yet they will ask you to come back within 24 hours and show it to them. So you can check in get settled and then go to the park activate your passes then just stop by the desk on your way through and show them your pass.

I have the same concern as we don't expect to check in until 11 PM. Is there any place to activate the AP at that time of day?

My reservation slip also says that the seasonal pass is required at the time of check-in; has the reservation slip always have that clause or is that new?

Thanks in advance.

Kay

We have probably stayed on AP rates 10 or 12 times in the past 10 years and have never yet had anyone even ask us to see the pass (yes, we always have them). Once they asked if we were AP holders and I said yes and that was it. I am sure if you check in at 11PM and someone asks, you could show them the voucher and explain that you would be happy to stop in the next day and show them the pass after you had exchanged your voucher at guest services. I wouldn't worry about it at all.

This is what happen last week at the Poly.....
We arrived and I went up to the counter. I gave our name and said that we have the AP rate but that we do not have the passes yet. I explained we ordered them over the phone and needed to pick them up at the "Will Call" window.
He said "no problem, we got you all set."
Never asked to verify the "will call" number or for us to check back or anything.

When I made the reservation, I was told that we did need to get the pass before checking in. I was prepared to just walk over to the TTC and get the passes. But as it turned out, we didn't need to.

then we checked in, got settled in our room. And then headed to the TTC. Got our passes and headed straight to MGM.

Does anyone know if this policy also extends over to the Dolphin? We will be checking in early but I would rather spend my time in the parks instead of trying to activate my AP.

:scratchin
You have to activate the pass before you go to the parks anyway.
Are you wanting check in, then activate your pass as you first enter the parks?
I'm sure that wouldn't be a problem.....but call to verify.

We have checked in using only the vouchers several times--never a hastle, problem, or question.
