What is the advantage of purchasing an annual pass voucher months before you are going to visit WDW and activate it?

Thanks.

I didn't I just waited.

Maybe if they are going in 2006 and don't want the price increase.

WDW will definitely increase the prices - they always do.

There is none, unless a)it is a renewal and you want the discount because it may be to your advantage to do so -or- b)you want to pre-order your DDE card. It basically takes the same amount of time to activate as it does to purchase a pass in person.

We always bought our tickets ahead of time to get that expense behind us. That's why we would do it.

Right now you get a $100 discount with DVC on an adult AP and $85 discount on child. Don't know how long this perk is available thats why I'm buying mine soon for a February trip.

To get the DVC discount, and to get access to the AP "best rates" for Disney resorts? If they are staying on points part of the trip and in a Disney resort the rest of the time, they might want the AP rates on those rooms.

I was wondering though, if you purchase the AP now using the DVC discount, is there a limit on when you have to activate it? For instance, if I got one now, would I have to activate it before my trip in April 2006?

Another reason is that you can use the voucher to book an AP discounted room through the new Best Rate program. Some members like to pay cash for Friday & Saturday nights and it's nice to get a discounted rate when you do.

Another reason is that buying vouchers is a way to spread the cost iover seveasl months f you need to purchase more than one AP/PAP.

Best wishes -

How is the cost spread out over several months? Isn't it that you pay the full price when purchasing the vouchers through the website? I rather not pre pay my liabilities several months in advance.

Say you need to buy 4 APs for your family. You buy one a month or maybe one every other month. For some, it is easier on the budget to do it this way.

Best wishes -

Bingo! Exactly the thought that came to my mind!

Sorry folks, but no telling how long the DVC discount on AP's will last. Hopefully a long, long time. But it is a perk, and not guaranteed. :)
