First year buying an Annual Pass and I'm hoping you all can help with a few questions:

I see that you need to pick up the pass at Will Call after buying on-line. We've booked at PBH under the AP rate and I'm assuming they will be flexible when we check-in if we don't have the pass yet. I would like to leverage the multi-day tix discount for my family....since the $85.99 deal is only available on-line and in advance, how do I utilize my AP for this transaction?...Will I receive an AP# when I buy it via the website? (or should I buy the AP and other tix at the same time, with the assumption I will receive the appropriate discount?)

HHN...I've been following the other threads, but I assume there is nothing new about AP availability/procedures for this event?

General question: is the AP worth it?....We have two planned trips to UO this year and the AP route seems logical from the math I've done. I'll save about $20 net on the tix across the two trips by doing one AP and buying multi-day tix at discounts versus just buying the standard multi-day tix at $85.99. The real savings kick in for the hotel rates and meals...Makes sense to me, but am I missing something?...Are there any other ways to go that you cast members are aware of...?

Thanks

I have a family of 4, we all have AP's. The cost of renewing your AP is only 99 dollars a year.
They do require an AP at checkin, though I dont know if they are flexible or not, I woud assume so. The discounts you get are pretty good for everything.
If you buy the 86 dollar tix, you get no discount on those. If you buy your AP in advance, you get no discount on other tix. You actually have to present your AP when you buy the ticket. I dont know if there is a way to get the discount on line, as we usually only take people for one day, and those tickets are only available at the gate.
If you are only going to do one AP, why not boost up and get the Premium AP? You get one free off-peak entrance into HHN, which will save you the cost of the ticket, a slightly bigger discount, and free room upgrades when available. You also get a free bottle of water every visit, and you get a free valet parking.
I dont know.....might be something worth looking into.

yes the APs are worth it. However, you will not get any discounts on the $86 tickets. The discounts are on the 1 and 2 day passes. Since you all are going to US twice this year, look into the power passes for the rest of the family. They run about $99 ( no discounts though ) . You will come out ahead by doing this because the $86 tickets are only good for 7 days after first use.

Purchase your AP online and you will get a voucher that you take to guest services, they make a hard plastic card ( like a CC ) with your picture on it. This takes about 5 - 10 mins, depending on crowd. If you are checking into your hotel before you exchange your voucher, just show them the voucher and tell them you are on your way to exchange the voucher for the pass and will be happy to come by and show your APH if they want.

HHN~ here are last years APH discounted prices. http://www.halloweenhorrornights.com/orlando/annual_passholders.php

From past experience, the APH prices for this year should be about the same ( or a little less than ) as the stay and scream prices http://www.halloweenhorrornights.com/orlando/stay_scream.html

It has been years since I bought HHN tickets using a voucher, but I know it can be done. There is a 6 HHN ticket limit (TOTAL) per APH.

I don't think the Premier passes are a good deal for people staying on-site. But that is my opinion, you might find a good use for them.

Hopefully I have answered all of your questions, if not feel free to ask some more! lol

Thank you both for the help...

I didn't even think about the power pass option for my wife...that makes sense versus buying separate tix for each trip. The little one is coming along in June but not in Oct (she's a bit young for HHN and the Epcot Food & Wine Fest!)...I'll just get her the multi-day tix in advance online for later this month.

So far I'm tracking over $200 in savings (tix, hotel rooms) by going the AP route, but that's really irrelevant since I'll likely roll all that cash into drinks at Margaritaville and Epcot :faint:

It's my understand that the only AP's that are still using the plastic card is the Premier Pass...the PP and PAP are now the regular looking tix.

Metrowest is correct. The Power Passes and Preferred Annual Passes don't do pictures anymore.
