annual family travel insurance and individual travel

We have an annual travel insurance with insure and go and although I have looked online can not seem to find the answer to this - eldest DS is off on a couple of weekends/weeks away and has been told by the organisers to get insurance! he is covered on our family annual insurance - would he be covered by this insurance or is this only when we travel as a family! any money saved at the moment is a bonus

If it's anything like our annual family travel insurance with American Express, he'll be covered as an individual...

We checked this out with our annual family insurance, which is part of our house insurance, and our kids are not covered if they go away without us. so I'd phone your insurance company and ask the question directly if I was you. Better to be safe than sorry.

Our annual insurance covers DH and myself if we travel alone but not the kids unless they are accompanied by one of us.

Our insurance does NOT allow a child to travel without the parents, however given that he is only 18 months old he is hardly likely to pack his Iggle Piggle Bag and jump on a plane
