Annual Dues

Hi

Does anyone know if it is possible to use a paypal account to pay your annual dues? I am in the UK and hoping to rent out some points which will be paid to me in Dollars via paypal. My plan was to keep this money in Dollars on paypal and then use it to pay my annual dues when they are due, cutting out paypal's exchange rate.

Does anyone know whether this is possible?

I'm not sure.
I kind of think not....but could you transfer your PP USD$ into a something like a suntrust account then write a check out of that in USD$ ?....or even buy Disney gift card...DVC will accept those?

Thanks for that, I thought it might be a no. I don't have a US dollar account but maybe I should look into one. Where can I buy a gift card and can I pay for that via paypal?

I believe I have read other posts of folks in the UK using Citi....

I hope it works out for you!

{I believe somewhere on the UK DVC board there is a thread about using SunTrust...there maybe one about using Citi as well}

I asked that question recently when I was getting ready to purchase. I wanted to use disney gift cards, because the main grocery store I use sells them and you get money off of gas. I was told I could use the cards for the annual pass, and the meal plan. If someone else has better info on this, please let me know. I could get an extra tank of gas for my dues

Yes they do. I just paid our prorated dues in June with gift cards I bought at our local grocery store. You just have to call to pay. You can't pay online through the member website.

use your cash back credit card. i got 2% back in cash with my AMEX caed!

I know you can pay with a credit card. I bet you can use paypal. Just call member services and ask. They are very helpful.

My annual dues are about 700 which means I will need 14 $50 gift cards. If I get them during bonus time, that's 2.80 per gallon, or $84 back in my pocket

A lot of grocery stores have bigger gift cards as well. I bought a $500 one and a $100 ones. I have like $40 left on the $100 one, but they never expire so I'm just keeping it to pay next year's dues.

You get the money off gas plus if you use your Disney visa you get Disney dollars back (or if you use another credit card with the option you can get cash back as well)

I see you are new to dvc also, but not new to disney. We can't wait to use our DVC membership next year too. Good luck! I have been going since 1973 and have only missed three years. My son turns 15 next week, and he has been on 20 disney trips.

I have a Swiss PayPal account as well as a US PayPal account which is associated with my Suntrust Bank account.

Disney charges the Dues monthly from my Suntrust account, so if the balance is getting low there, I just pay in money into my Swiss PayPal account and then send that amount to the US Paypal account as a payment. Then I have PayPal move that money to my Suntrust account. Sounds complicated but is actually quite easy. And with the current exchange rates I'm getting lots of dollars for my swiss franks
