Annual Christmas Parade Taping

Hi Folks,

I thought about asking this question on the other forum, but Im a little scared of those guys .........

So Ill ask the friendly ANZAC folks, does anyone know when the annual christmas parade taping is being done at disneyland this year?
Ive read mixed reports one being the first saturday in november which I'm really worried about, as that will be our first day in the park... touring plans are also rating it as 9.2 on their crowd calender but is that accurate

Any help would be appreciated

I don't think the dates have been released yet. According to an Allears blog it seems last year the dates were released about a month prior to taping. WDW taping happened over a few days 30/11 to 2/12 and DL 5-6/12.

Thanks DizOz ill keep my eyes open beginning of October. I'm hoping its not the first Saturday as that pretty much only gives Disney 24 hours to put up Xmas decorations

I was there last year on the 1st of November. It was being prepared for the taping at that weekend.

On that Thursday, the Halloween decorations were still up in Main Street and the castle was already being draped in the Christmas fairy lights. They were definitely changing it for that weekend.

I think MinnieSueOz was there about the same time and stayed to see the Christmas decorations. You might want to check her TR (the previous one; not the current one) to see if there are further details there.

I hope the taping is early as we are going to be at DL and WDW at end of Nov and early Dec

Ill check The TR. I'm just peaking about the crowds, then again if everyone's hanging about for the parade it may be to our advantage re rides

The floats are frequently stopped and restarted and performers often repeat their routines while proper camera placement is being worked out. It can end up being a long day if you decide to attend this taping. If you're in the park on parade taping day, it can be a great day to head to the attractions instead, because so many people will be on Main Street. "[/FONT]

I will be there on those days. I will not be anywhere near the taping area.

I had the DU email too - but the dates must have been predicted/guessed at some time ago as I had already blocked out those dates in my head as days to avoid MK. Can't find much on DL predictions.
