Last night while falling asleep I realized that my DH and I will be celebrating our 3rd anniversary while in WDW.
I know (from reading this board) that they do special things for birthdays but what about us married folk? Anything special?
I wil try to get a special dinner in for us and should I let them know?

Definately get "re-hitched" at the Garden Grill Restaurant in Epcot. Very simple, small "ceremony"... very cute... We were there for our 10th anniversary in Sept and was fun. Also, mention it to everyone, at hotel, at restaurants... etc.

Yes do the rehitchin', it is 100% free. I surpised my DH with it a few years ago for our anniversary and he (a person who never likes being center of attention) absolutely thought it was awesome. I called in my PS and asked them to put rehitchin on the PS. On the day of our PS we had our lunch and afterwards they announced there was a "rehitchin'" and my DH had no clue. You also get a certificate that is signed by "Mickey" and a free cake for your anniversary.

I took my wife to WDW for our 30th anniv last summer. When I made the resort res's and all of the PS's I mentioned that it would be our anniv. The GF, and several of the restaurants all made special efforts to do someting special for us. The GF gave us flowers and champagne. The best surprise was at the castle for dinner one night. We waited for what I thought was a long time, but when they finally seated us, it was at the center window table for two. They also gave us champagne flutes. If you don't tell them it's a special event, they can't do anything for you.

We celebrated our first "Gotcha" Day in WDW in October 2002 and will be going again for our third one this year. Last time, we wore buttons that said,"Today is my Gotcha Day." We plan to wear buttons again this time around. Everyone was asking us all day what a gotcha day is. If you haven't heard the expression before, it is the anniversary of the day we adopted the kids. They got us and we got them.

The security guard at the front of MK gave us a front of the line pass to SplMtn and we were allowed to ride all of the mountains twice that day. At dinner that night at the Flying Fish, the waiter brought a dessert for the kids that said in chocolate, "Happy Gotcha Day."

It was truly magical that day, two years ago. We want to relive it this year.

We're also planning a rehitching ceremony for ourselves that will be a surprise for the kids since we were married 10 years this past April. The kids will get a kick out of it.

Definitely, make yourselves buttons to announce your special occasion.
