Anniversary Dinner

My husband and I will be celebrating our anniversary while we are staying at Universal this year. What would be a good place to have a great anniversary dinner? We don't have a car, so would prefer City Walk or hotel options.

it could have been the day i went to them to have that stick in my mind.

I'm taking dh to either Emeril or Tchoup Chop when we go in June. He hates Orlando, and this will be just for him; we're leaving the boys at the resort with pizza and a movie.

Emeril's has a chef's table in the kitchen that we did for my birthday last year, which was a lot of fun (and a lot of good food).

I'm taking dh to either Emeril or Tchoup Chop when we go in June. He hates Orlando, and this will be just for him; we're leaving the boys at the resort with pizza and a movie.

The wife & I much prefer Tchoup Chop for a dinner out without the kids. We were very disappointed with Emeril's @ CityWalk. Where Tchoup Chop seemed very intimate, Emeril's felt very cold and industrial. Also wasn't real thrilled that a place that serves such a great steak (at a fairly steep price) was not able to even saute up some mushrooms to accompany it. Just a steak in the middle of an otherwise empty plate ... had pretty much the same feel as the decor in the restaurant.

We enjoy Emeril's @ Citywalk. We have eaten there for both lunch and dinner many times and have never been disappointed. We celebrated our son's birthday and college graduation one year and told the restaurant what we were celebrating when we made the reservation. The staff made a big fuss over it and made it a point to congratulate our son and provided him with a complimentary drink and dessert. We have it on our list again for this year.

This. I was VERY underwhelmed by Emeril's. I did not feel that we got what we paid for, and the overall experience was just disappointing. We won't go back.

We went back just for a mid-day dessert so I could get that tremendous banana cream pie - but once I saw that Tchoup Chop also offers it, we haven't gone back.
