Up at 7am this morning and in the Park by about 08:20. Meandered up Main Street stopping to take lots of hpotos and having a quick check with the sword in the Stone that I still wasn’t of noble birth!
<a href="http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/0rion33/?action=view¤t=Disney08356.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/0rion33/Disney08356.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
Went on to the carousel and finally got to ride the horse with the green dragon on (been trying to get on this horse since 1992-it’s the small things!!)
<a href="http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/0rion33/?action=view¤t=Disney08358.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/0rion33/Disney08358.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
Then walked straight on to teacups (I have learned letting my husband steer is baaaaad),
(this was me calm and collected before the ride started I looked very different getting off I can tell you!
<a href="http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/0rion33/?action=view¤t=Disney08369.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/0rion33/Disney08369.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
Demon husband glad he thought it was funny!
<a href="http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/0rion33/?action=view¤t=Disney08727.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/0rion33/Disney08727.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
When the ride stopped our cup made a loud squealing sound as the brakes came on; I think everyone was laughing at us but I couldn't see straight.
Peter Pan and Pinncohio and then a 10 minute queue onto Buzz (My husband still hasn’t got over the score I got over him at Christmas, although my gun was missing it’s little lazer dot so I didn’t think my defeat was fair!!
By this time it was 09:30 we had breakfast booked at the Plaza Gardens for 9:45 so we headed off to join the queue. Were seated really quickly and thought breakfast here was a far better affair than the Gepettos caf we have eaten at previously. Far better organised, cleaner and much fancier. We thought because we were at a cheaper hotel than normal this was where the budget people got sent!!! How wrong we were. It wasn’t the usual bunfight it was all laid out in a long line, we were shown to a table (rather than the free for all that is Gepettos) and it was much cleaner, it was lovely!
<a href="http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/0rion33/?action=view¤t=Disney08377.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/0rion33/Disney08377.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
After breakfast we watched Mary Poppins
<a href="http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/0rion33/?action=view¤t=Disney08380.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a245/0rion33/Disney08380.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
and then had a really good look round Main Street whilst it was quiet. We followed the covered walkway (discovering this turned out to be the biggest godsend this holiday it is the most useful crowd beater ever-providing everyone doesn’t find out about it!) When we came out through Fort Comstock we noticed the Molly Brown was coming in. I hadn’t seen the paddleboats working since my first trip in 1992 and hubby had never been on one so we clambered aboard and enjoyed viewing the little extra Disney bits that you don’t normally get to see on the rivers edge from the top deck. I highly recommend standing on the right hand side of the boat (i.e with your back to thunder mountain) as whilst there are a few bits to see on thunder mesa, there is more to see on the opposite banks on the park side.

before noticing the pirate ship was actually open and you could go aboard. No sooner were we on the pirate ship did my hsband site and very graciously point out to me he could see Jack Sparrow.
I have never moved so fast in my life…I nearly took several people out on the way and then got there to find I was the only adult amongst lots of very excited little boys with autograph books, I was very good and waited it was worth it, he kissed my hand haha! Then in a very sexy French accent looked at hubby and said “I’m not going to get in trouble with him am i?” I think my exact reply was “God know don’t worry about him!” haha my poor DH he is so tolerant!

Stopped to watch the princesses for a bit on the fantasy stage (Ariel & Cinderella) then the character express came by so watched that (such a catchy choon I may have embarrassed hubby by yelling “allez” and going woo woo with suitable arm movement every time I heard the song (it is so catchy though) but he was joining in with me the following day after a bottle of wine and glass of kir at Walts. (I swear I am not an alcoholic I drink my 2 litres of water a day and live in the gym during the week so this is my week off!!)

Got to Lucky Nugget, usual waiting time before being seated, we showed the halfboard plus vouchers to our waitress and she asked what drink we would like with it, so we asked for 2 phantom manor cocktails and told her we would happily pay the extra (whilst showing our dream APs to make sure we didn’t pay THAT much extra). In the Lucky Nugget we met Smee, Prince John, Eeyore, Friar Tuck, Pinnochio, Gepetto, Genie, Baloo, Donald, Radcliffe and Goofy. We thought maybe being a couple minus kids we would be passed by but this certainly was not the case and enjoyed brilliant character interaction and had a great time. Lovely food as always, ate far too much and both hubby and I left feeling extremely sorry for ourselves!

It was by now after 3pm and the parade was at 4 so we headed over to a spot to watch the parade that was nice and empty and I lay down feeling sorry for myself and with indigestion for a while-possibly because I was lying on the pavement using my backpack as a pillow people were giving me a wide berth but either way our patch remained nice and quiet for the parade whilst people crammed themselves into every other available space. Mind you we also weren’t standing in the shade and it was another incredibly hot day! (Mad dogs and Englishman style).
