Anne of Green Gables at World Showcase Canada

Hi everyone,
It's been a long time since I've been back at Epcot - longer than I care to admit for someone who frequents a board like this.

Back then, one of the shops in Canada had a bunch of Anne of Green Gables stuff - has anyone who has gone recently know if that's still there? They sold things like the books, dolls, etc.

Certainly not owned by Disney, but the 1987 mini-series "Anne of Green Gables: The Sequel", a/k/a "Anne of Avonlea", as well as the 1990 "Road to Avonlea" series, were co-productions by Disney and the CBC, so that may have motivated Disney to sell related merchandise back in the day. (The second shop in the Canada pavilion, La Boutique des Provinces, which old posts mention having Anne merchandise, closed circa 2005.)

Yes,it was in Hotel du Canada.

That area is so "dead" since they closed the Hotel.

That was such a lovely shop too. It was a shame they closed it. It sure seems like it’s been closed longer than a 2005 date though.

I remember doing a kidcot mask indoors before I graduated college up the stairs and to the right (and yes, I was over 20 and making kidcot masks, since we were bored college kids haha), I am assuming that is the store you are talking about? I graduated in 2005, so it was still open at least coming up to that!

I remember that shop and I loved it. Sadly, nothing is open up on that level anymore, and there is no Anne of Green Gables presence.

Oh my gosh... my youngest is OBSESSED with the “Anne with and E” series. She has watched it over and over and over. I had no idea there used to be a presence of Anne of Green Gables at Disney
