Let's remember the case of Terry Schiavo--I bring that up b/c her hubby stated what her wishes were, but she had no living will. That is why the case took soooo long to resolve.

ANS not having her wishes legally documented is what much of this legal mess is. That is why the judge is taking time.

Once ANS is buried in the Bahamas--the Florida courts and the Federal courts have no jurisdiction.

There's a huge difference between what is legal and what some think is right.

That's why it makes me sad for ANS, but I realize I'm imposing my belief system, what I think looks obvious she wanted. May not at all be what the courts say.

I saw a video clip on our local news and didn't see it the same way--but I had facial expressions and tone of voice to go with it. It is true--she is on ice..so there is no rush b/c the ME is keeping her in a state in which she will still be able to be preserved. The time is running out of course. But I don't recall him using the words "that baby".

Did you hear a clip or was the station quoting/paraphrasing?

ETA: the clip was him in chambers or a conference room..not a courtroom.

I think the judge is just basking in his "15 minutes" of fame and almost appears to be grandstanding. The ME has said on numerous occasions that the body needs to be embalmed soon not just for decomposition reasons, but that if they wait too much longer, the actual embalming itself will be difficult to perform.

Howard K Stern HAS to realize that baby is not his, so he now has to stall while he thinks up a "plan" on what to do..(If he thinks the baby is his, why not just get the DNA test done and be over with it?)

Meantime, he has to sell his face for interviews as once the circus dies down, Anna gets buried, and Larry Birkhead gets the DNA test done, NO ONE will give a hoot about what ole Howard has to say.

I am surprised that he isn't having to face any consequences for all the RX drugs in Sterns name that ANS was supposedly taking. How come he isn't being held accountable???

Plus wasn't it widely known that Anna's dead son Daniel hated Howard, and didn't like being around him? Interesting that Daniel died while in the company of Stern at the hospital. Maybe Stern viewed Daniel as a threat. Maybe Daniel threatened to tell "secrets"

As for the paternity issue, I'm thinking that ANS and HKS know that they don't know for sure who the father is and that's why they refuse a test. If they knew for sure it was HKS, it would have gotten rid of the legal hassle and saved them $$$. It sure seemed like ANS used sex lightly although we can't be sure what's true. I could see lots of men coming out if there was even a chance they could get their hands on the baby's possible inheritance. I think ANS wanted HKS to be the Dad but either he isn't, or they don't know for sure, and aren't taking the chance. Birkhead seems the most sane but again, it's hard from media reports to really know.

I think this is very likely true. That's how I'd sum it up as well.

I had heard that Daniel and Howard got along well. I think that Howard Stern cared about Anna, but I do think he was an enabler. There is no justification for his selling his grief to ET. Though I think ET has turned into a tasteless tabloid show. I stopped watching it when James Brown died and they showed his corpse every single night. I read that Anna's mom also got paid. I think that is even more disgusting. I think she is as much of a goldigger as Howard, and the fact that she is the mother just makes it more sad. If she cared as much about her daughter and grandson as she claims she would let them rest together.

I just hope the Judge realizes, whether it was written done or not, the whole world knows Anna's wishes would be to be with her son, who was the world to her. I don't care if he was buried on the moon, that is where she would want to be, and that is where she SHOULD be.

This whole thing is a mess, and can't they let the poor girl rest in peace?

As for her mother, I was sympathetic towards her at first, after all, she lost a daughter. But, now that I hear she was trying to get Anna buried in Texas, AWAY from Daniel, I lost my sympathy for her. If she cared for Anna at all, she would know her place is with her son.

I'm not sure--Florida has "jurisdiction". It was said her next of kin determines where she is to be buried. Next of kin is her daughter. Since her daughter is a minor (and a non-talking minor ), it then falls to the guardian of the daughter...currently HKS.


Then there is that whole paternity thing and I don't know how that weighs in.

But I think her mom is nowhere on the radar even though they are allowing "her side".

I don't know anything about exhuming bodies--but since ANS was next of kin of Daniel..then he is buried where he should be buried and should rest in peace.

I hope a decision is soon b/c regardless of how volatile the life of ANS was...she deserves to RIP.

actually..there has been a guardian appointed by the courts over the baby...The baby is in the Bahamas, which recognize HKS as the legal guardian..the baby is not permitted to leave the Bahamas until paternity is determined

Boy, her will reads WEIRD!! She left everything to Daniel and there was a clause that said nothing should be given to any future spouse(s) or ANY future children, regardless of if they are her children (Dannielynn) or foster children. It also cuts out her entire family..which was expected. Basically, everything was left to Daniel and that's it and that HKS is the executor of the will.
