I was just able to book a FP for Anna and Elsa, but it's for our last day and it's AFTER our flight departs. I booked it anyway in hopes that I could move the time to an earlier time later on. Then, I went to check some of the other dates of our trip and noticed that Anna/Elsa has now been completely removed as an option from the FP list of options (rather than saying that there are no FP remaining for the day, which is what it said previously). Is this something new? Having a FP for a time we can't use (and therefore, that other people can't use) doesn't do us any good, but I hate to release it just yet when I'm hoping to change it to an earlier time. I still want the option of being able to keep checking for other dates, though. Has anyone heard of this happening? TIA!

Are you looking for the same day? If so, is the tier issue causing the problem?

I'm confused as to why you'd take one you couldn't use though. Having it doesn't make it any more likely that you'll get one at a time you can use (and possibly makes it harder). All you are doing it something someone else (who can actually use it) from getting it. Or is there some FP rule/loophole that I'm missing?

We had two days booked during our trip, but that was last year and they may have changed things before, but I haven't heard that is the case.

I'm not going to keep it if we can't use it. I booked it in hopes that once booked, it would then allow me to adjust it for a different window of time (which often happens, at least that has been my experience).

I see. I didn't realize that having a FP opened up the possibility of other times that would otherwise not be available. At least, I assume that it what you mean (otherwise, I'm back to not understanding why you are holding on to something that many people want and you know that you cannot use). That's good fact to know, I will keep it in mind.

We also have 2 booked for our upcoming trip. Keep checking, last October I was able to grab 2 our last day at the magic kingdom. I had been checking for months with no luck and while in line at Peter Pan 2 fast passes popped up for later that morning. It was a nice surprise!!!

I have it 2 times during my trip.. but on my MDE account I never see a fast pass when there is no availbility

So strange... on my MDE, it lists the experience, but in red, it says that there is no availability remaining availability left for the day (or something to that effect). But now, they have completely vanished from the list.

But based on your trip, it sounds like you are allowed to book it more than once, so that's good to know. I'm going to assume that there just aren't any available and that's why it's not showing up (and not because I'm blocked because I already have one). Thank you!

I promise - I will not keep it if we aren't going to use it :)

This works great IF there are other times available. In this instance, there aren't ANY other times available for Anna/Elsa (not surprising). I booked a FP for Mickey and it assigned me a random time, which I booked, but was able to go back and modify to the exact time that worked with our schedule. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but it never hurts to try.

If there are no FP+ left it will sometimes just not show the attraction. This typically happens if you are trying to move your already booked time to another time or switch another MK FP to that one. Also if you are on that day but on a FP+ time slot you already have for a different attraction it will not show anything you already have booked in slots 2 or 3.

THIS.

When you already have FP+ for the day and go in to Change the Experience, you are shown the available experiences, just like if you go to change the time of your FP+, you will only be shown the times that would be available. If you have FP+ booked for that day and trying to change then it will only show you what is available for that day and time frame.

If you are selecting "New Fastpass+", every attraction for that particular park will show up and the ones that are not available will have a notice in red stating "Fastpass distribution has ended for selected day". When you select "Update Fastpass+", the list that pops up will only be the available attractions (excluding the ones you have already selected, ones will conflicting times , and ones that have been all taken up by other guests).

The fact that you have it booked once is definitely not causing it to not show on other days. It is most likely just not available on those days.

Having a FP for a slot you can't use does not increase your chances for getting one for a different date/time.

I think the OP followed the current advice of booking times furthest away from the time you want so that you can modify it. That's how she wound up with one she cannot use. Her plan was likely to go in and modify the time to when she needed it, but then found that no other times were available. And, it is entirely up to her as to whether she keeps it, in hopes of being able to modify the time later, or changes it to a different time and attraction entirely.

Yes that is the suggested strategy but, it doesn't make a difference to probability of success if the FP she's going to modify is A&E or Buzz so why hold onto a hot one that everyone wants if you will already be on your way home when it's scheduled to take place? Tie up a slot for a less popular attraction while you look for what you want.
