Okay, ever since they implemented this fastpass+ it seems that AP have been getting the short end of the stick. I was stoked when I received my magic bands as part of the test group, but now they've decided to cut our fastpass+ reservations to 30 days. Would I normally care? No, I've had no issues at all getting fastpasses just a day or 2 ahead of time, well until now. Anna and Elsa were announced days ago, and the 30 day period just came up today, and guess what? They are booked up solid. How come I think this is going to be the case always? Well because people have been waiting 3-5 hours a day, why wouldn't they sign up 60 days out? I'm an AP who's visited the parks many times since Anna & Elsa came to Epcot, but my DD still hasn't gotten to meet them, because a 3 hour wait something none of us want part of. I thought this meet and greet with fastpass+ would be the saving grace , well guess not. It just seems wrong that AP, who in a course of a year spend FAR more than any vacationing family gets the shaft. Before I moved here I heard about special AP events, I thought we'd get preferential treatment, not the other way around.

Okay I'm not griping.

Interesting. Until now, I had not looked at it from that point of view. Very good point.

Have you tried booking the fastpasses individually? Yours alone, your daughters alone, husbands, etc.? I just did that this morning for the second week in May and it worked. I wasnt able to book them before. Maybe you could try that?

You're an annual passholder and able to book more than 30 days in advance still? The calendar is greyed out after 4/20 and can't even be selected in my account.

Keep in mind that AP holders with an onsite stay booked still get 60 days.

Thank you for this information. I did not know this, and was beginning to change my view of the AP30 policy!! On site guests are "rewarded" and it is in Disney's right and best interest to do so.

True, but now if I want my daughter to get to see Anna & Elsa without a 3 hour wait, I'll have to shell out a couple of hundred bucks for an overnight stay? I live a half hour away, and spend enough in the parks on a weekly basis.

Just thought about how this is going to be the exact same case for the 7 Dwarves Mine Cart ride as well. This will be booking up LONG before our 30 days, guaranteed! I saw on the other thread people booking multiple visits with Anna & Elsa for different days, while we can't get 1. It's just a shame we get treated as the lesser.

Sorry if that came out wrong, definitely directed towards you. You are being helpful.

I agree with pp make sure you are checking various times and try individually. We just booked ours for the first week of May and it wasn't showing up at first as I was trying to change experiences but it turned up in another time slot.

Try what the PP suggested... When I tried to book the FP+ and had selected all the members of my party, it was grayed out. Then I tried again with only me and 2 DD's and it worked. Then I copied DS and DH. A lot of people had issues if they tried to book all the members of their reservation.

I may be completely off base here, but I'm wondering if it's simply a matter of keeping track of whether or not a guest is actually going to be there. Meaning, if I'm staying onsite and my room reservation and FP+ are connected, if I go and cancel my room then I lose my FP+ as well and they know that so they are aware, the FP go back into the pool and someone else gets them.

If I only had my AP or I'm an offsite guest just linking tickets with no resort reservation I could make plans to go next month and then change my mind and if I didn't think to go on and cancel my FP+ they would sit there and get wasted. Maybe they don't offer it too far in advance for concerns like that? That plans may be more opt to change?

I do wonder with advanced FP open to all how much that may occur. Maybe it's just me though and has nothing to do with anything.

That stinks.

I think it's about making sure onsite customers get first pick. Then at 30 days they can open what is left up to APs not staying onsite. And then the other piece of the puzzle is when do non-AP-offsite get to book. If it's later than APs, then they will be left with what is left after the prior two groups.

I guess this is part of the new class system at the parks :(

AP holders are restricted to 7 days in a 30 day period, so it is possible they will book and not show up. But, we can't flood the system and not allow others to book. I'm not sure about all, but I cancel my reservations when I know I'm not going to make it.

I hated the tiered system until now. I'm hoping it becomes a reality so that the mine cart and Anna & Elsa compete and might have a free slot or two 30 days in advance.

How exactly did you get it view the May dates? My calendar on the site greys out anything after 4/20 completely. I can't even get onto those dates.

I'm an AP and as of midnight last night the window opened up for me to book Anna and Elsa at Fairytale Hall (their first day there April 20.) I got online around 12:45 am and was able to book 2 FP+ for the morning (9:15-10:15 and 9:40-10:40 for me and my husband, my 2 year old won't need a FP) I had been worried too that since the resort guests had 30 days up on us regular APs that we wouldn't be able to score an Anna and Elsa FP, but I did it. :) Plus keep in mind that Disney also releases more FP the day of.

I just ran it through for April 20 (which is Easter Sunday) and I'm able to book Anna and Elsa.

Which I didn't, because I won't actually be there nor do I want to meet them...but they are not "sold out."

They came up for April 21, too.

I've tried multiple times today and I get nothing coming up for April 20. It doesn't seem you're an AP since you're booking April 21, and that is 31 days out.

Now I'm getting more conspiracy theory nuts and wondering if Disney is making fastpass+ available to people staying on grounds when they show sold out to AP? Why would it show available to someone and at no point do I show it available?

Yep, checked again and on April 20 Anna & Elsa are greyed out and and showing as "Standby Available"

Have you tried doing as others suggested and check for just 1 person? Then you can copy to the others in the party? I've done that when changing things around and our times are within 10 minutes of each other.
