I'm relatively new to Disney and have been reading here for a while in preparation for our first Disney cruise in Feb - a four day cruise on the Disney Magic. We are flying into Orlando and spending one day at the magic kingdom before our cruise. My 3 y/o LOVES Anna and Elsa and we managed to get fast passes to see them at the magic kingdom. The problem is it is a not recommended high crowd day. I'm sure it would be better to use that fast pass on something else. I know A&E are on some of the sailing, but are they on all of them?
If so I will skip them in the park and use my FP for a ride. Thank you in advance to all you knowledgable people!

The odds are pretty good they will be on the Magic in Feb. You'll need to pick up tickets for the meet and greet once onboard. The Navigator will let you know when and where.

As the previous poster mentioned the Anna and Elsa meet will be posted in one of the Daily Navigators on where to pick up tickets at which point you will get to select a date/time. It's important to read the Navigator because they where several people I met on my cruise that just casually scanned the Navigator and missed the notice. Luckily there where able to still get tickets for the meet-and-greet.

Saw A&E and Olaf on the Magic last week. I got tix at the Port Adventures desk...I just assumed it would be guest services and waited in line there first, before they sent me over to PA. Once we went to the event it wasn't busy at all. We were near the end of the line and only waited 5 min or so.

Thank you!!! I had tried calling Disney and they couldn't seem to answer the question! I think it will cancel the fast pass and use it for something else. One last question - We are taking the magic express from the hotel. I heard it gets you on the boat later - I will plan to go immediately to get tickets. Do you think there is a concern that they will be gone before the bus arrives?

I'm also going to Dream 4 night in Feb and we also plan to spend 1 day at Magic Kingdom the day before the cruise. It's also our first cruise. I talked to a DCL agent last week and he said it's not guaranteed that Anna and Elsa will be on the Dream and I won't find out for sure until I'm actually on the cruise. Bummer.

I've decided to take my chance and skip the FastPass for Anna and Elsa and hope we see them on the cruise. Instead, I'm gonna use our FastPass for Belle at Magic Kindgom.

True, it's not guaranteed; most characters other than Mickey and Minnie aren't. Most of the time the ships do not have a substitute onboard for the face characters in the event of illness or such. I believe both Anna and Elsa have been making regular appearances on all 4 ships, as a ticketed meet & greet. There are sporadic reports of just one if the other has business "back in Arendelle."

Enjoy your cruise!

Just got off the Magic today and saw Anna & Elsa as well as Olaf. We got on the ship around noon and went straight to shoe excursions and got our tickets for the meet and greet on sea day. (They were also out in the atrium for a special holiday show and then in the Disney Dreams stage show.)
