Any recommendations on how to get lower price if possible? has anyone stayed in these rooms? what are they like? Thanks for the info.:p

Did I read your post right, $690.00 per night?

I don't think there is a suite in the world that I'd pay that much for!

They are nice 1BR suites, about the size of two rooms. They have 1 1/2 baths. The price you were given will be the price these are sold at, they are never discounted. One plus for these suites is that they all have good savanna views, and include concierge service.

I am sad to say that suites are never discounted for us common folks (I have stayed in a few and have always been told that they are never discounted). But don't let that worry you. I have actually stayed in both a two-bedroom and one-bedroom suite at the AKL. I loved them both (they were identical except for the number of bedrooms, of course). I have photos of both of those suites here in my on-line photo albums, just select the appropriate albums.

By the way, my one-bedroom AKL stay was over the holidays. The suite came decorated with a beautiful Christmas tree that was loaded with all kinds of African ornaments. You can see the tree in my on-line photo album. It was glorious to fall asleep by the light of the Christmas tree. Such sweet dreams it gave to my young daughter.

It sounds like a *great* price for Disney! As they undoubtedly know the market well, they will probably get it from someone.

If you must have a suite at AKL, you have no alternative but to pay their price. But you can likely do much better by just getting two normal rooms, on which you *can* get discounts most of the time. You can also sometimes get good deals on suites at DVC properties (Old Key West, Boardwalk Villas, etc.) if the AKL location is not essential.

OMG!! That would pay my rent for a month! LOL! I bet it is sooo nice! I am hoping that some insanely awesome code will come out for nov so that I can switch part of ressie to akl-but it won't be no suite-dang!
