I read somewhere once that Animal Kingdom has a petting zoon for endangered species...I'm really not sure if I read this right or not. Can anyone confirm, and if so, what is this attraction called at the park?
The petting zoo is at Rafiki's Planet Watch Conservation station at the AK. The petting zoo itself only has goats, sheep, llamas, ect.. Typical petting zoo animals. The conservation station tells about endangered animals and a great deal about the envrionment and preserving it. Hope this helps!!
It's called the "Affection Section" and is part of the Rafiki's Planet Watch area of the park. To get there, you'll need to take the Wildlife Express train from Africa to Conservation Station (you can't walk there). You'll also need to take the train back to Africa to leave that area.
