The park itself is beautiful. If you have time (even as you're leaving) to stroll along and just kind of check things out, there is a great amount of detail. It really is a world in itself.
If you like animals, it is great! If you don't, it is still OK.
I like the walking trails. Could stand at the bat exhibit forever. Always check the kimono dragon...I've never seen him move...little buggar. But there is always hope! And I like the bird show (the rest of the family and everyone else I've dragged in thinks it is horribly boring, though!)
I usually do two mornings in AK and never even bother with Kilimanjaro safaris. To me, it is really stupid and generally boring.
The Lion King show is FABULOUS and It's Tough To Be a Bug is adorable (except for small kids - scares the bejesus out of them.)
Dinosaur is fine to do once...a lot of herky-jerky with little payoff, so I usually skip it.
Expedition Everest is a lot of fun, if you aren't scared of rollercoasters.
I used to really dislike the place, but it has grown on me over the years - now I have a love/hate thing going on...but there's more love.
I don't like the way the cashiers hit you up for $1.00 every time you buy something. I shop less at AK than anywhere else, just because of that.
