We Love Animal Kingdom
This is my first pre-trip report and semi-first time posting. But I really wanted to do one because I am so exicted!

First, we live in south Georgia so Disney is only a 6 hour drive. My husband (James) and I had a Disney honeymoon less than a year ago, end of May '06.

We had originally purchased 5 day park hopper pluses for our four day honeymoon trip but found that we didnt end up going to pleasure island or any of the water parks (With all there was to do at the theme parks there wasnt time!) I felt bad at the time about the wasted money. BUT, upon talking to the concierge at our wonderful Old Key West resort (that was available to us only because of some wonderful point-renter here on the DIS - thanks!), I learned of the option of cancelling the plus thing and using that to upgrade the tickets. So, to James' eternal dismay, I then discovered the "no expiration" option, which I added to our tickets along with 2 extra days.

Happy at the Magic Kingdom

We only used 3 of our 7 days at the end of our honeymoon, and what made it so wonderful is that we now had 4 more days left that I could concievably argue that in order to get our VALUE out of, we HAD TO USE. That means return trips!

Looking back, I am still not sure how I did this but I subsequently convinced James that we needed to return (with guests) in August (two days, and added two more days to our tickets so they became 9 day no exp.) for my birthday. :cool1:

and then..
that a perfect present to give to my newly remarried dad and his new wife was a trip to Disney that we could join them on because we would actually be saving money because we would already have our tickets! in Jan.
Unfortunately, after we had booked that one, my dad got sick (slightly major, but he is fine now) and though he was better in time for the trip, he could not take any more time off of work that month, so he had to cancel. We did not cancel however, and still took the trip with two friends in tow.

Including our Indian-American friend who is new to the country (he has been studying at our college for three years now) and it was so fun to get his perspective on things! He had a blast!

Our friend Lalit, by the Hindi writting in AK. I forgot what he said this meant.

We met peter pan! This cast member that was doing Wendy, was absolutely amazing! She did such a great job.

SO our initial "money-saving" investment ended up costing us three additional trips to Disney ($$$) in less than a year. Looking back, not only do I have no idea how I convinced James all these were good ideas, but I really don't know how I convinced myself.

So Finally, our college semester is ending, my Dad has time off work and we have only one more day left on our lovely, lovely, 9 day park hopping no exp.tickets and we are booked to head there AGAIN the first weekend of may 07! Despite the fact that James said he would not return to Disney untill our yet unborn future children are at least 7, we are going! :yay: But only for a day trip to AK, our fav. park!

Although our trip will be short: two nights stay at a suite hotel (were we can all 4 - me, my husband, my dad, his new wife - share a suite). My dad and his new wife are florida residents. A friday night trip to downtown disney for dinner, and then Animal Kingdom on Saturday, I am really exicted about this trip!

My Dad is really excitable, just like me, and he has not been to Disney in 12 years! And then we only went on a one day trip to the Magic Kingdom and we did not even stay the night. We drove the 2 1/2 hours home to his parents house. So he has not been in 12 years and he is in for a real treat! He is going to love it!
His new wife, Sissy, has not been to Disney at all, ever! She is not really stoked, as far as I can tell, but I know she will be pleasently surprised.

Right now I am thinking about Buena Vista Suites in the LBV area because of the fabulous deal offered here through Dreams travel thing. Still debating on where to go to on friday night. Not Rainforest Cafe because we will be eating there on Sat. as it is the only sit down available in AK and NOT Planet Hollywood because we think that it is the 7th circle of hell (james also thinks that the mall is) so we are undecided about that! :hippie:

think there might be a chance that your 1 day might turn into 2,3,or 4? It seems like you have had major disney magic when it comes to adding on to your trip.:)

I would want to. But I doubt we will be buying any more tickets for a long time.
