Disney's Animal Kingdom is offering fastpasses for shows through May 29th.

They are currently offering FASTPASS for Festival of the Lion King, Flights of Wonder, and Finding Nemo The Musical. The FASTPASS collection point is near the entrance of It's Tough to be a Bug, and obtaining a show FASTPASS does not prevent guests obtaining another FASTPASS during the same time period.

My guess is those with a Fastpass will be allowed to enter the show venue first followed by the stand-by guests.

I'm confused (which doesn't take much these days). Do these shows not usually have fast passes, or is this just a central location go get all of them, all at once, in one place, at the same time? We'll be at Animal Kingdom June 2nd, so I'd like to be prepared if they extand this.

It's a centralized Fastpass area in front of the entrance to Tough to be a Bug. You can get the show fastpasses there for shows later in the day.

This is new right? I don't recall the shows having Fastpass before......this is a GREAT idea!

I think I will need to make a trip to Animal Kingdom and check it out. Thanks for the info. :)

These shows do not normally have Fastpass.

They did an experiment around the holidays, handing out Fastpasses for the shows at the central location (the ONLY place you could get them). However, there was confusion and they seemed to handle it at least in some cases very poorly. I know of at least two cases where people who had Fastpasses showed up before the end of the Fastpass return time (which was not the usual hour, since this was for a show), only to find out that they already seated the standby line and the theater was full, "so sorry..."

Hopefully they learned something then, but this has all the earmarks of being another experiment, but longer term.

That's really neat. I bet that they are just testing it out before making it permanent. I like this idea! :)

i wonder if you can also have more than one show pass at a time? We leave in 3 days :cheer2:
