Hi,

Myself and my wife are coming to Disneyworld Florida in September for our 30th wedding anniversary and have been looking at booking the savour the savanna tour. I saw one video and you can see the regular tour as they went round so what is the difference between both tours. I know you get the food and wine but is it worth paying $169 each for a tour that looks very similar to the Kilimanjaro one.
I do love the idea of the savour tour but wanted advise first.

Thank you
Darryl

First off, :welcome: to the DIS!

My wife did the Savor the Savanna tour last week. We had previously both done the Wanyama Safari tour at AKL, which is a safari-like excursion around the AKL savannas with dinner at Jiko. She thought the Savor the Savanna tour was just OK... it wasn't a bad experience, but she wasn't glowing about it either. On the other hand we both enjoyed the Wanyama tour quite a bit and thought it was a great experience.

Not sure if the Wanyama tour is of interest, but it may be an alternative to consider if looking for something that takes place in a different setting than the regular Kilimanjaro safari ride.

Thank you for the welcome I will check out your suggestion and see what I think, I have done the Kilimanjaro safari a few times its very good but I want to do something special for my wife.

Thank you again.

Darryl

Just checked out the Wanyama Safari tour looks really good but no price on the Disneyworld site just says over $60 per person I hope you can book it for September 2019.

Thanks

I don't remember the cost, but I remember it not being cheap. :-)

You can confirm the cost by calling (407) WDW-PLAY or (407) 939-7529. Reservations for tours typically open up at 180 days in advance of your date, so you'll have to wait a bit to book if interested.
