When we were there in December, there were stations set up around the park with kids activities sponsored by Family Fun magazine. Don't know if this was the same thing you're referring to. These activities were free. You picked up a booklet at one and got it stamped at each station. There were CM's there to help kids identify animal prints, learn about bugs, etc. We only got to do a few since we found out about it after visiting most areas of the park, but DD loved it. It may be that they have these free activities and a Safari Journal that you buy, which is different, kind of like Epcot has the free KidCot stops or you can buy the passport. Hopefully someone else can clarify.
