Hello everyone,

The only thing my DD(12) keeps talking about is seeing the Lion King Show at AK when we go this June. Can anyone tell me how many times a day the show is scheduled and a good strategy for getting in to see it? TIA

The show is at least 4-5 times a day and is very easy to get into, never had a problem getting in.I've even sat in the back rows and never had a problem with seeing. Hope that helps.Have a great trip. :flower:

Hi Tinkssister, and welcome!

Try this link for this week's Festival of the Lion King showtimes. Click on "Animal Kingdom" at the top then scroll down the page.

The listing suggests you arrive 30 minutes before showtime, but maybe someone who has seen it recently can give you more details on strategy.

Have fun!

Bob

we were there in Dec and I recall it being shown several times throughout the day. we had no trouble getting in and finding a seat.

excellent show!

Be forewarned Tinkssister....
This show is not "The Story of the Lion King" - it is a "Festival" just as the title says. Has the main characters (audio-animatronic) which are stationary and sing but the main action takes place from various high energy acrobatic preformers.
The show is good -worth seeing but my DD 7 was very let down that "it was not like the movie" Since it's all your DS keeps talking about sounds like he might be expecting a story version. Just wanted you to be aware so you could explain before you arrive if need be. :wave2:

I think this is one of the most incredible shows. They do bring children from each section into the show for a few minutes. Usually it is the children sitting in the first few rows (usually-- I'm sure there have been a few exceptions). So you may want to arrive early to have a shot at this. I wouldn't tell your DS though-- because there's no guarantee who will get picked. They do usually choose about 6-8 kids per section. I know my DS got picked last spring. Ironically it was the 1 trip we actually brought the camcorder on.
