If my husband and I ride EE first thing in the morning and then take the kids over to Safaris, how long do you think the line will be for Safaris? I'm hoping to skip the FP on the morning safari and then use FP to take the Safari again right before we leave the park.

On what date?

If you're going to be there, near the Mickey readers for RD, I'd go right onto the safari. Unless it's a really busy day, you should still have a very short wait at EE. Also, if your kids are old enough, consider single rider for EE in the morning. My 10 yr old and I did this during Pres Week and rode EE a total of 5 times and the safari twice.

I don't know when you are going, but I was at AK last Thursday and we arrived at the Animal Kingdom around 11:00 a.m. We headed straight to the safaris and waited in line about 30 minutes.

Like other's have said, it will depend on when you are going, but I would hit Safari first then EE...Safari (in my experience) get more crowded quicker.

I usually RD AK and go directly to EE...ride it a few times and then go directly to the Safari without issue. I wait no more than 10 minutes on average. When I was there in December I basically walked right to the queue.

Was at AK on Sunday.

Safari was 70 minute wait at 9:30am (park opened at 9, no AM EMH).
Went to EE right after that, and waited 15 minutes in the single rider line.

My method has always been to do the safari first, then go to everything else

The Expedition Everest Challenge is that night.
Don't know if that could affect AM crowds or not.

Some ppl who do the challenge spend the day in the park first. Especially since it's only a 5K.

We usually arrive at park openining, and then hit EE immediately (sometimes twice), and then head over to the safaris. Usually the wait is no too long.

That's one of our AK days as well... though we have an 8:30 ADR at Tusker House and will likely still be eating at Rope Drop. It's the last day of our trip and we will have already done another AK day so no big deal...but on our first AK day we plan to go straight to the safari. Only one of our party can ride EE though so we aren't rushing to that.

I have had the same experience. I can't believe some of the posts of 30+ minutes for the safari. That queue seems to take forever just walking through it...can't imagine standing there for that length of time. Although, when AK first opened we did. Simba 1 drove me nuts. Glad they got rid of that garbage.

We're heading over to AK on March 30th for 8am opening. We plan to head to safari first. I shouldn't need a fastpass if we go there first??

Then I have fastpasses for EE 9-10am and then Dinosaur 12-1pm.

May3rd! That's so exciting I'm sure I'll see you there.

I had an 8:20 ADR at Tusker but didn't want to be eating at rope drop on our first day (my boys and husband have never been to WDW before!) so I changed it to "brunch" at 10:40. They should be seriously hungry by then after a granola bar breakfast.

I usually go straight to EE, ride multiple times, and then head over to the safari and the wait time is still usually under 30 minutes, and various times of year. You should be fine either way

Thank you so much. I worried a bit about the EE Challenge that night but from what I've read, I hope it won't affect the early morning much.
