Our 1st trip with our 2.5 y.o. dd in May... she LOVES all animals. We've gone to both Animal Kingdom and Sea World as a couple, pre-dd.

Now we're wondering which to take her to. I'm thinking she may get more out of Sea World at her age. I don't know if she will be able to spot the animals on the safari at AK, she probably will be scared of It's Tough to be a Bug, I can't even think of what she might really like at AK. Advice please???

loved the safari and the animal exibits at AK, but the only other thing he liked was the dumbo-type ride. There was certainly a few hours of stuff to do there he liked alot. IF you're staying on-site I wouldn't hesitate to go to AK and go back to the resort to rest!

I haven't been to Sea World in a long time...but I hear that little kids love it.

We go to Seaworld everytime we go to WDW. If you can't go to both AK and Seaworld, I would pick Seaworld. Its more hands on and can get closer to the animals then AK. Seaworld also has the Budweiser Clydesdale horses as well. Seaworld is also a "smaller" park and has lots of shady spots to sit and relax with a snack. We love Seaworld and Animal Kingdom.

I'd go to AK, there is plenty for your DD to do if you stay away from the big rides like the petting zoo and the hospital area

That's a tough choice...my DD was 3 when she first went to AK and SeaWorld, and she really enjoyed both places. At AK she liked the safari, the jungle trek, and she loved the Lion King show. At SeaWorld, she liked feeding the dolphins, the sea lion show and of course, the Shamu show. We didn't stay the entire day at either park...both get hot and difficult to travel in when they get crowded in the afternoon.

I would say to choose the place you are most interested in seeing. I am sure your daughter will love either. My only caution about SeaWorld...bring lots of extra money. I think we spent $60 within 30 minutes of arrival between feeding the rays, the dolphins and getting snacks for my children.

Have fun!

Now let me preface this by saying I am a Disney die-hard. I love disney, being a former CM and all.

We took our first trip to Sea World in Feb with our kids 4, 2 1 and it was really a great time. So much to see up close.

I think we might go back in May!

ETA: Go to Sea World! :)

I vote Animal Kingdom all the way. We did both with our 3 and 1 year olds and I thought Sea World was a waste of time at this age. The aquarium is tiny( my kids got a much bigger kick out of the one at epcot)..the stingray petting thing is down for renovation (at least it was the end of March) ... and all the shows that might be of interest were during the afternoon nap time and we were long gone by then...I was disappointed. That said, they are offering military families admission for free w/ id which I thought was very generous and wonderful.
my girls loved the shows and rides at AK...the safari, the maharji walk, lion king show, pocahontas show, and even the kali river rapids at AK...skip a bugs life, scared all kids in our group age 1-7!!!

Definately go to Animal Kingdom...Let's jut face it-Disney is better....there are more rides that are appropriate for that age and many kinds of animals...just take your time and let your kid see what they wanna see...be sure to stop by the dinorama :)
