Hello! Trying to decide between these two. I love animals so would love being close to them but understand that BRV location is generally better for getting to parks besides AK. Last time we were at DW we had lunch at Sanaa which I thought was so great. I’ve read on some reviews that based on food AK is the clear winner between the two. Now, I don’t need amazing food every time we eat at the resort but it’s nice to have that option be a good one. I wasn’t happy with the food options when we stayed at Saratoga Springs Resort 2 years ago. If you stayed at Wilderness Lodge and at Animal Kingdom, please share thoughts about food! Thanks!!

When will you be going?

Many of the dining locations at AKL are still closed, and AFAIK there is not a scheduled re-opening date for the hotel side there.

I prefer the food at AKL across the board. Sanaa is fantastic, Boma is a must for my family every year, Mara has solid quick service. They have something for everybody.

Wilderness Lodge is also very good, but very different. Whispering Canyon is quite an experience, and Geyser Point is lovely. I'm not personally a huge fan of the Roaring Fork QS restaurant, but Geyser Point makes up for that.

Overall, I'd be happier eating at every restaurant at AKL vs every restaurant at WL, but both are such excellent choices!

Depending on when you go, remember that there are lots of other places to eat at the other MK resorts

Have you considered a split stay.

If this is your first time at WL I would recommend CCV rather than BRV to get the best immersion of WL

I guess it depends on whether you are looking for quality of food over quantity or variety of food. There isn't a lot open at AKV at the moment, so, while Sanaa is great, that is one of your only options. Staying at WL, CCV or BRV gives you the options of Geyser Point, Roaring Forks, Whispering Canyon or taking the boat to Ft. W for their food options as well. Plus you could take the boat or bus to MK and access the monorail resorts for more options from there. I think the food at WL is ok, not great.

Thanks for the input re CCV vs BRV.

This thread inspired me to look at availability for my upcoming trip mid January. We had split stay with akv followed by beach club. I was super excited to be back at kidani but with reduced food options decided to see what was available (thinking brv as great option based on this thread). I didn’t have the points to make the switch but serendipitously found bwv standard view was available our exact akv days so I am now booked there.

Im huge fan of akv and food is big part of why Im a fan but at this time if food is driver id recommend elsewhere. If your trip isn’t until both resorts are at full operations id say both are excellent choices for food but my personal taste would go with akv.

Love eating at Saana....one of my favorite restaurants at Kidani Village at AK. That said, one of my all time fav places to eat outside is at WL at Geyser Point. You can't go wrong with either spot!

I am in the exact same boat!! I am leaning towards doing a waitlist for CC but am reading that the room is actually quite a bit smaller in size than AKL - Kidani.

I am also trying to decide between AKL and CC/BR. I don't know which to choose! I love AK but without food/shops (I do love Sanaa...) and it being so empty... I just don't know.

Geyser Point also gives you an excellent place to view the Electrical Water Pageant at 8:30.
I've stayed at CC and BRV. I prefer CC. Next stay might be at AKL but I need to evaluate my dining options there before making a decision.
