We stay at BWV for our F&W trips and love the convenience of being able to walk back to the room after we we leave the parks. Even on non-Ecpot days we usually walk over to Epcot for the last hour or two of it being open to grab a drink and walk around world showcase. Doing that from AK is tough w/ the round trip transportation time.
You will love the restaurants at AKL. Jiko and Sanaa are two of my favorites on property. One tip i do have is plan those ADRs, or any other dining reservation, on Friday and Saturday of your trip and AVOID F&W on those nights. Fri/Sat nights of F&W have just gotten insane. We went in September and again in October last year during F&W and attempted Saturday nights twice and left within 10 minutes both times. The line for the French Slushy was back to the bridge leading to Int'l gateway. Every food/drink line was 20 ppl deep or more. It was wall to wall people and just not fun. Weekdays are much less crowded.
