We have an 8:15 ADR at Tusker House next month. My plan was to eat breakfast and head to Kilimanjaro Safari. The park is scheduled to open at 9:00, do they ever open the park early? Do you think we can finish by 8:45? Do you normally have to wait to be seated there? We only ate there once and that was 6 years ago. We are okay if we don't see all characters.

I don't think you will need to rush thru your meal. Everyone goes to Avatar rides at rope drop - you should be fine. its 9:15 now and there is only a 5 min wait time for Safari

This is our plan too, but don't plan to terribly rush through the meal. Our ADR is at 8:10, but we plan to be at the gates well before 8:00. I will also ask for the check as soon as we order our drinks so we can leave as soon as we're done.

We have a FP for FOP later in the day and are indifferent about Navi - or might ride it later that night.

You should be fine. As dachsie reports above, the crowd heads to Pandora so the wait for the Safari builds more slowly.

They will start letting people through the tapstiles early but will hold the crowd at the Tree of Life. The Safari will start running right at opening. In fact the last time DW and I rope dropped the Safari, after being released at the Tree of Life we were held at the entrance to the Safari for a few minutes.

Everyone will be rushing to Pandora, so you should be fine with KS with little wait. As for rushing through TH, just my opinion, but why book an expensive character meal to rush through it? We’ve only ever done TH at dinner but we loved it. We did hVe a wait to be seated, but like I said that was for dinner. It’s a buffet so if you’re not worried with the characters you can be done quickly.
