Hi, I am a new Disney Vacation Club ower at the Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas and was wondering a couple of things.

First, which location has the best savanna views? We will be able to book next month and just want to make sure that we can reserve the best possible view.

Second, can we make reservations for three different rooms if the check-in date for all three are different? We will be arriving first, followed by two other groups on the following days.

Thanks for your help!

Yes to the second as long as you have names to put on the reservations and points to use.

As to the first question: Almost anywhere for savanna view rooms. You can have some varying views as to what is better, some of which include:

Kidani is better because you can get lower floor view and thus direct sight line to animals; all DVC rooms at Jambo are 5th (or 6th for consierge) floor.

Jambo has the best savanna views if overlooking Arusha Savanna and also the higher floor views are better

Most of Kidani and part of Jambo have the best savanna views if overlooking Sunset Savanna.

The list could go on. In other words, members have different "views" on what are the better "views."

Personally:

If Jambo I like to request Arusha savanna view along Zebra Trail because the savanna is great and those particular rooms face west so you don't get blinding sun in the morning and see pleasant sunsets in the evening.

If Kidani, I always make only one request "close to lobby." That puts you on Sunset which has giraffes (Pembe the other savanna at Kidani is the only savanna that does not), near some feeding points and thus places you where animals gather and gives excellent views, and most important puts you claose to all amenities such as pool, community hall, store, restaurant, and bus station. If you do not request close to lobby at Kidani you risk being far from lobby and that could mean the longest walk from lobby to room that you will ever take down an internal hallway in any hotel in the world (any hotel on earth not just in WDW).

I can agree with this, last year we had 3 savanna view studios at Kidani on the Sunset savanna and we had the absolute last room at the furthest end of the hall. There was a sign that stated "no elevator service past this point". We were actually closer to Jambo than our Kidani lobby! Since we were in a studio I carried our laundry the distance back to the laundry room that is near the lobby/community room. I truly felt like a villager packing my laundry that distance!:rotfl:

I love Kidani because it is smaller and has a more intimate feel than the constant bustle of the the Jambo house common areas.

Either choice will provide you with wonderfully unique vacation experiences.

Thank you both. This is exactly the type of information that I was looking for. Yes, we have all the names of everyone who is going. We are just waiting now for the time to book.
