What does it mean when there are no rooms available during a certain time. I do know there is a large convention the first week of March. But how busy will dining be if the hotel is booked solid?

The only answer I could think to possibly give you is that the reason rooms sell out at Disney resorts is for the time period that has been booked. I know March is when a lot of spring breaks start so finding a room can be difficult at this time. I was playing around with FL resident rates and there wasn't a room available til the first week of April. I'm going June and already have my room booked. I was just curious to what was open for residents during those spring break weeks.

If a hotel is truly booked then the restaurants in that resort will most likely be very crowded. We've stayed in WDW resorts that were booked solid and walk-ups were impossible. If you have TS in mind that you would like to go to, you should snag ADR's if they are still available.

If it gives you any peace of mind, we were at the Yacht Club in Dec and it was sold out and I didn’t notice a difference. I know it’s a different resort.. but just thought I’d share :)

Might depend on the resort... we were at CBR 2 weeks ago, which was booked solid (actually overbooked) and I had no problems walking up at the TS with no reservation, and the food court wasn't insane (maybe it was in the mornings when we weren't there, but in the afternoon/evenings, not much crowd to speak of).

Disney resorts are often full or close to full. It is unlikely that a resort has been much less than full on any previous visit (unless a good part of the resort was undergoing rehab), so you probably won't notice a difference between that previous visit and this visit.

Rant Alert!
Disney’s Site Once again, is the Worst Service and they honestly should be Ashamed, Very Ashamed.
I have once again tried to book an on site room, and am Unable to purchase. Of course, their Typical
Blurb of apologizing and told to call ( though the call center of course does not open till 7am) and by then the room will likely be gone.
It happens that the Same Category room
Allegedly Available at an Almost $50
Savings Overall is the one that currently isn’t going thru their online Site :(

just yesterday was on the phone for Over 40 minutes ..when they Again apologized, said they were unable to process a New Ticket Purchase and was told to do it online. Which I did.
Today, this debacle. It just Never gets Better.
Why
this Constant, Systemic Problem?
My Proxy Votes are In.
Simply Disgusted! Rant Over..

Thanks to all who replied. We do have one ADR at Boma and was hoping that the Mara would not be super busy in the morning before the parks.

Mara was ALWAYS busy in the mornings when we stayed there. It is very small and there was only one line for hot items and only a couple of lines to check out.

What is the convention? We will be on site first week of March.

I have stayed at a sold out AKL multiple times. It's busy at those times, but not noticeably busier than when rooms are available.
