Animal Kingdom Lodge or Wilderness Lodge with multiple food allergies

we stayed at Grand Floridian last year and we were originally planning on staying there this September for 3 nights. however, we are now considering staying at either Animal Kingdom a lodge or Wilderness Lodge for 4 nights instead. But I have some concerns. Grand Floridian QS was amazing with my food allergies. I have 25 food allergies plus all raw fruits and vegetables because of oral allergy syndrome. My questions are fairly basic.

Do Animal Kingdom Lodge and/or Wilderness Lodge have Namaste Mix for allergy Mickey Waffles? I cannot have Bobs Red Mill because of their cross contact issue with tree nuts. I loved starting every morning at the GF with Mickey waffles (and I usually took some back with me for an afternoon snack)

Also, do both places carry the Allergy chicken tenders? I just really want to be able to start my day with Mickey Waffles and have Chicken tenders for lunch.

And just in general how are those 2 QS places with allergies? I'm fairly easy to please food wise. As long as it is safe, taste good, and I don't have to make it, I'm happy.

Also, we are considering club level at WL. Has anyone with food allergies stayed there? I know I won't be able to eat anything in the lounge but my parents would love it. Would I be able to get any allergy safe food in the lounge or will I have to go to Roaring Forks to get what I can eat?

How are Whispering Canyon and Artist Point with allergies?

Thanks!

1) I have worked WL-CL many times.
2) We are generally pretty good with allergies.
3) But, we do not always have specific brands of food or ingredients, although the chefs do try.
4) If your preferred brand is not available, they might try a substitute.

As of November 2014 Roaring Forks has the allergy friendly chicken fingers.

I have mulitple food allergies and our preferred resort is WL. Roaring Forks is great, though make sure you mention your allergies each time you order even if you have seen the ingredient book and the item "should" be safe. I have a post on here somewhere about my experience with breakfast at RF one time (it ended fine, but would not have if I had not explained my allergies when I ordered).

Animal kingdom is amazing, but the majority of the foods in the restaurant and food court are African inspired, so they may have more unusual ingredients and less choice than you are likely to find at Wilderness Lodge.

That's not saying that Animal Kingdom would have safe food, just that there may be less options.

I have stayed at WL and AKL also with a long list of allergies and they were both great. I personally found them better than my experiences at the GF which is in my won't eat there again category because they've served me unsafe food twice and once had nothing to offer that had not been pre-marinated but kids meal food and passed it off as adult food at adult price and not an adult serving. But anyway get in contact with the chef at the resort you select even if it's the GF again to be sure they have the right mix in stock. They don't always have everything on their allergy lists in stock but if they know you are coming ahead of time they will make sure to have it. AKL actually had a larger selection of pre-packaged allergy safe foods than most resorts and has access to the pantries of the other restaurants so if they need something for you in the QS location they are more than happy to get ingredients from other areas and cook in the safest area possible. I tend not to eat things I don't 100% know are safe so I didn't eat any of the unusual ingredients they offer and had no trouble at all. My experience with WL concierge level is that they were very nice but did not have the facilities or advanced notice to help me. I tried through the concierge office to let them know a few easily available pre-packaged items that I know are carried at the resort but they did not have them for me. Even something like rice crispies that are safe for me I could not have there because the cereals are in dispensers. I couldn't even use the fancy coffee drink dispenser because of cross contam. I don't recall being able to consume anything except an orange from the lounge--I also have OAS but citrus is ok for me. My daughter loved it though.

We're staying in AKL for the first time in October, but Boma has always been a favorite of ours, so we've been traveling over there to eat for our last few trips. Our past trip in January, we stopped by the Mara for lunch on our way to the airport and it was the safest, best QS meal we had the whole trip. Everyone was satisfied - the three of us with allergies had 13 combined, and the chef bent over backwards to make sure everyone was safe and happy. Even going so far as to open brand new bags of buns for a sandwich for my soy allergic wife.

So much depends upon the chef. At one time, GF had the best chef on property where food allergies are concerned. (I hear he's now over at Hoop).

In our experience, the staff at all the resorts have mostly tried to be accommodating. We've done CL at both WL and AKL.

We're a bit old school, if we can get away with eating line food and NOT discussing allergies, that's what we do. Sometimes that is the simplest way to dine. In our case, items like whole fruit are safe- we don't need a chef to give his blessing.

Of all the resorts, AKL = we always have to discuss our food allergies, and stick to allergen-free foods.

One of the reasons we LIKE CL, is because the lounge staff is generally so nice about food allergies. If you have a food allergy, the staff will generally try to bring you food that is safe, you just have to request it and wait for it.
