It is great to see all the AKL fans! I cannot wait to stay there in only 101 days or so. Yippie! We need to start our own fan club!

Splitting our stay next year between AKL and Poly. Can't wait. I've been inside the AKL but haven't stayed there yet. It reminds me a lot of Wilderness Lodge, which up until now has been our favorite Disney Resort. I think I'm ready to try something new this time, and I'm confident we'll enjoy the AKL just as much if not more than the Wilderness Lodge.

We stayed at AKL for the first time this past May and fell in love with the place. I can't think of anything negative to say about this wonderful resort. Next year I'd like to try Boardwalk Inn but my family says no way so I guess we will split our trip between the two. We can't wait to go back. The "magic" for us is right there at Animal Kingdom Lodge!

I just got back from the AKL on the 22nd. Omigosh! Amazing. It was a remarkable vacation and a wicked cool resort. We split time at POR, and that was great as well, but a totally different experience. I can't wait to go back. AKL rocks!

Our whole family (MIL, DH's SF, BIL, DNe 8, DNi 6, DH) love AKL! They were kind enough to upgrade all 3 rooms we had reserved to Savannah view, and the kids got to have bunk beds, which we found to be a huge benefit. We loved the food, the pool, the decor, the CMs-- eveything!

As we were leaving, DNe said he thought we should try a new resort the next time (he wants one with a beach), and everyone just looked at him with expressions of sheer horror.

AKL is fantastic!

I love to hear all of these hurrahs for AKL!!
My kiddos have been dying to stay there, but we've
always have 5 in the family(and I was too cheap
to buy 2 rooms) so we never had! I got a fabulous
rate with AP, so we're going AKL Concierge! The kids
are About to Explode!! I'm also going to Poly Concierge
for the 1st 4 days, so it will be interesting to compare
the two! 8 days of pure Heaven!!!

Well i must love it as i will be checking in for my 2nd stay in about 4 weeks. I only regret that i couldn't spend more nights of our next stay at the AKL(only 2 nights). The above says alot considering with each trip to WDW our goal is to try a different hotel until we've done them all. Let me paint a picture of my first morning at the AKL. I woke up before sunrise and not wanting to wake my DH i went out onto the balcony. I sat there looking towards Arusha Rock as the sun came up and then i heard african styled drum music playing and watched 3 giraffi running about in what looked like a game kids play you know tag your it,now that was magical. I was very happy that day that we had not cut our vacation short as i had caught the flu on our final day of our cruise and thought about cancelling the 5 days at WDW. I'm glad i changed my plans and now will be arriving very early. I'm going to spend most of my first day exploring the hotel and later that night try Boma's again(couldn't taste the food very well last time)DH liked it and we usally don't like buffets. Soooo as you can see we love it there and can't wait to be going back.

We love AKL!! The theming is very creative and so different from the rest of the hotels! And, as always, the service is wonderful.

AKL wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't what we expected. Parts were nice (ambiance, esp. the music), but we'd never stay there again. To each his own, I guess...

Count me in the fan club! I probably won't stay again until I've tried the Beach Club, and the Wilderness Lodge, well maybe a split stay, right at the end! That smell!!! Those zebra domes!!! The pool!!! The giraffes!!! Yeah, a split stay sounds good.

AKL is our favorite resort. We love the decor, the woodsmoke smell as you walk into the lobby, the pool area is the best, the food is superior, and the animals just complete the package! It is an oasis!

We have stayed there twice now and love it!! I never had the desire to even see the place....got a great deal last Christmas and went back in August...It will always be my first choice!

It has so much atmosphere and such an intimate feel despite it's size.I also love having Boma just downstairs....can't beat that!

All of these responses make me want to try AKL on our next trip! I am just worried about the transportation, as we are NOT fans of the busses!

soooo, how is the bus transportation at AKL? Good? Slow? Crowded?

We spent 12 wonderful nights at AKL last November and will be stay there before our Disney Cruise next year!!! AKL is our favorite and I can not imagine staying anywhere else!!!
