We are here in Disney and its predicted to rain all day :( We've been to EP(x2) and HS already and have MK planned for Thursday/Friday which leaves AK for today.

Have you toured AK in the rain? Any tips?

A couple of years ago we toured AK in a Tropical Storm. It definitely was not my favorite day.... but we made it work. Ponchos are your friend.... wear flip flops..... just keep going!! You will make great memories!

We've been at AK in the pouring rain. We had a great time. We were able to ride Kali River Rapids for 3 or 4 times in a row without getting off. It didn't matter if we got wet because we were already soaked. Expedition Everest wasn't so fun with the rain pelting us in the face. The rain really wasn't so bad except for our sneakers.

My friend is there now (and also was planning AK day) they have not had a good start to their trip so far so I'm crossing fingers it turns around for everyone!

It rained all day on our AK day last summer. We found ourselves constantly saying, "We should just leave, but let's do... first." We ended up staying from rope drop until about 4pm. We did not do any of the trails because of the rain. We were traveling with our almost 3 year old DS and he was a trooper, but preferred to go from covered area to covered area. We did ride EE in the down pour. Our ride photos are awesome! We also did safari (not raining yet), some meet and greets, ate at Harambe Market and saw both shows. It was a good, but soggy day.

rain - even pouring rain is fine. When you get a big thunder storm they will close down a lot of the park during the storm. If possible (if you know the storm is coming) try to get into Nemo or Lion King and see that during the storm (FOW does not usually run during storms in our experience). it *might* rain a lot of the day but normally thunder storms pass fairly quickly

We've been there in the pouring cold rain. The park was empty. There was no one on Safari. The CMs were just letting you stay on and ride again as many times as you wanted. The people coming up to get in the vehicles were just directed to whatever row was empty. The animals were all out enjoying or playing in the rain. It was great!
