Help please. Two Adults, 1 child (7). Want to cover entire Animal Kingdom in one day. 8am - 5pm. (Early June 2021). How to prioritize, use FP ... where? Many Thanks

That is a long time away and things always change so you should wait. When you get to next February, search Animal Kingdom touring plan. There are many of them on the internet and they all know what they are talking about

I would definitely plan this in the later part of your trip as Flight of Passage can be really tricky to get as a fast pass. With a child that age, I would try for FOP, the Lion King show, and the Safari. You can do the Gorilla Trail after the safari and then the Maharaja Jungle Trail in between other attractions. In early June, you will want to keep refreshing to see whether you can pick up Kali River Rapids as a fourth fastpass as you will get quite wet and the weather needs to be conducive to that! I would also try for the Nemo show with that age group and/or the bird show if she really likes animals.

Are you sure you can’t split it over two days? There are a LOT of things to see and do at that park. I didn’t even get into the Conservation Station area for this rough plan.

Thank you! Pangyal...very detailed, thank you. And wilkydelts....did not realize i could google "animal kingdom touring plan". Did that and WOW! Sound advice!

FP for FOP, KS and EE or Kali. You can typically get into a lion king. Dino no need for FP. Navi River possible 4th. If you rope drop FOP you have to be early. If not do EE side first as most people go to Avatar. You can do t but takes plan.

AK in a day should be pretty doable. I would prioritize getting one of the Pandora rides for FP (preferably FOP), since those attractions tend to have the longest waits. Safari is a good second FP. The third can be whatever else you find interesting.

I don't usually bother with show FPs as it's pretty easy to get in them if you're willing to get there 10-15 min ahead of time. EE usually has a single rider line running most of the time that takes like 10-15 min, so I don't usually try get an FP for it either.

Looking at touring plans now will give you some ideas on how to schedule your day. I would check them again towards the end of 2020 as they'll likely be updated to reflect whatever changes Disney is making for the pandemic.

AK in a day is definitely doable. My family has never spent the full day there and we've done most everything. I will say that on our last trip, it was just my DD and I. FOP had just opened and we weren't able to get a FP and the wait time was 4 hours, so we skipped it. But we rode everything else, watched all of the shows, and walked through all of the animal exhibits.

To do everything in AK in a single day is hard if you mean everything.
i would get a FP for FoP (obviously, as early as possible), EE and safari.
RD Navi, then head to Dinosaur. do FoP at whatever time you have, hopefully early.
you should have time to ride EE several times before your FP for EE. Ifyou have time, do Marahaja trek, Then head for Safari for your Fp. As soon as you tap in for Safari get a Fp for LOtLK.
After Safari, do Gorilla Falls.
Do Lion King Show with Fp. Get Fp for Nemo.
Put Kali Rapids where it fits with a Fp if needed.

Don't forget to take a nice break at Dawa bar and enjoy a Tusker lager....or 2....or 3 :drinking1

not a fan of Dawa Bar. Nomad lounge is so much better.
Dawa bar was much better before half of it became waiting room for Tusker house.

If you head to EE you can ride 3-4 times with no wait. We do that the head to Dino or the safari if we have a FP. Depending on when we get FOP dictates the rest of the day. Navi is not worth a long wait so either rope drop or late in day. Avatar land at night is a must do.

we did nearly everything at AK in less than a day. (The only things we didn’t do were either because there was no interest or because of age or ability.) Between the four of us, we experienced all attractions except the Nemo show.
Fast passes for:
1. FoP
2. Kilamanjaro Safari
3. Kali River Rapids

We rope dropped Na’vi, and got to ride that twice in a row.
Dd and Dh rode EE 3 times & Dinosaur once. While they did that, Ds and I went to meet Mickey and Minnie at the outpost, then we rode the triceratops spin (ad nauseum.)

We also did the train that went to Rafiki’s planet watch and the petting zoo.

We are at Tusker House.

The biggest priority to do everything is to get a FastPass for Flight of Passage. The rest should fall into place. For the other FPs, I'd go with Kilimanjaro Safaris and then whatever you'd like to do the most out of Dinosaur or Kali River Rapids. You could also get one for Everest, but the single rider line is a huge benefit there. If you get a FP for Flight of Passage, I would start the day at Na'Vi River Journey since that line can be long too. The rest really depends on your other FPs and when you'll be doing Flight of Passage.

I'd recommend that you spend some time on the two main walking trails. Both are wonderfully themed and have a lot more than you might expect. Of course since it is June, the indoor shows will really help with avoiding the heat. Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo: The Musical are both great, though it may be tough to see both due to how long they are. I'd just prioritize which one you'd like to see more.

If you leave at 5 pm you’ll miss the night time show. We absolutely love animal kingdom at night and actually hop there 1-2 evenings a trip just to take in the atmosphere at night. The projection show on the tree of life is great.

Also, Pandora at night is something that has to be seen at least once. It's truly spectacular!

I think whether you "cover" all of AK in a day depends on what you mean. Our family can't do it all, and we skip Kali, Everest, FOP and Finding Nemo. Even spreading out over 2 days we miss out. It takes time to see the street performers, to watch the animals, ask the keepers and researchers questions, enjoy the architecture, play in the play areas, do Wilderness Explorers, watch a vet check etc.

So, yeah, I think you can do the main rides and shows in one day, covering the distance. But I don't think its possible to "everything".

So much to see at AK, it's a shame to rush through it. Pick your FP's , make sure one is FOP, then do standby for 3-5 other rides in close proximity and 2-3 shows and you will have had full day at AK. Recommend Tusker House for Breakfast or Satulli Canteen for lunch.

For FP the top priority is FOP if you can put your AK day later in your trip you will have a better chance of getting a FP (if staying on property). The other 2 FP could be Everest and Dinosaur which often have long waits. The animal trails are also some to put into your plan as they are very interesting. If there at RD then i would hit the safari first, then the first showing of FOLK after that venture you way over towards Kali river and Everest. Many people like the finding nemo show as it can be a good break, but it is quite long (~40 min). There are some rides in Dino land but those could be skipped. You really won't miss out on much there. Hit Dinosaur then venture your way over to Pandora. You have some good options for lunch on your way over there - Flame Tree, Nomad lounge or Satulli - with it being June you would welcome a break indoors so take that into consideration. You might want to stick around for the night time Rivers of light and the tree of life awakenings. They obviously are not the grand fireworks as other parks do but they are enjoyable.
