Hi all! wondering what is Flights of Wonder?
Did you enjoy it?
Will my 9mo old daughter enjoy it?
My DH is a bird fan so i think he will, but is there a chance of being
DROPPED upon? as in poop? just wondering thanks!! :wizard:

The Flights of Wonder show is excellent. I think tha you should definitely do it. When we went with my parents my Dad made the comment that that was the best bird show he had ever seen. Anytime you have birds flying over your head, you are going to have some risk of getting pooped on (but very unlikely in this show because the birds don't fly over the audience THAT much). Actually, you are probably in greater risk of getting pooped on by wild birds in the parks. However, as the mother of 2 wonderful birds, I can tell you that bird poop won't hurt you too badly. If you're worried about it, bring some wetwipes and/or Purell in case of an "accident." :rotfl2:

Kaaboost: thanks for the quick reply! i figured with all the times we have been to the WORLD we may as well finally see this hsow that we pas sup year after year! haha...

You are much more likely to be "pooped" on by the seagulls that are NOT so wild. Very brassy little things.

The Flights of Wonder show is excellent. One of the best shows at WDW.

Alas, in this life, there is always a chance of being pooped on. Thank goodness we have handy wipes. :rotfl: The UG calls it interesting and fun with an educational focus on the natural talents of a variety of bird species. It was given 4 stars. I'm planning on checking it out with my 4 year old.

Another thumbs up for the Flights of Wonder show. My 4 year old and I loved it! Especially the singing bird and the owls...when the birds do fly over the audience, they fly pretty low...highly recommended.

I never even realized this existed! We'll have to check it out next time as well!

A VERY good show...lots of fun to see!

The Flights of Wonder show at AK is not the only show that you have to worry about birds "pooping". Be careful at the Beauty and Beast Show at MGM. At the end of the show, they have doves flying from the back on theatre. My husband and I experienced being "pooped" on firsh hand. Strangely, we've seen the Flights of Wonder show 3 times and never got "pooped" on. :flower: :flower:

WOW! thanks! after all these great comments i feel like DH and i have really been missing out on something! And to think i actually used to work in AK IN ASia and still have never seen it!!

I can understand that - adding our joy of Flights of Wonder - wouldnt miss it. DD is 8 tho, she really loved the conservation tips, the habitat talks etc. and dh is "an owl" (its a Boy Scout thing) so we really got a lot out of it... have a $1 bill handy... and you may be picked to be part of an audience interaction!!

It really gives you an appreciation on part of our natural world we dont see.

Sit on end seats on the left hand aisle, about four or five rows from the front. That's where you'll have an amazing view of the owl flyby, and actually feel the wind from his wings.

Or alternatively, sit in the center of the center section, about ten rows back, and have a dollar bill in your hand when the show begins. When the CM asks for an adult volunteer with a dollar, stand up and wave it wildly. That way, you'll have an excellent chance to be a show participant and have a bird land on your arm a couple of times.

After visiting AK 3 other times we figured this time (my 4th time) we would check it out. We got there just after it started but still saw a great show. I highly recommend it. They also ask for 2 adult volunteers to come up on stage to take a picture as the owl is flying over (if you miss the shot the owl stays long enough on the perch to get a great shot of him)

We have seen this show several times, including last month and we love it. My sons and husband are scouts and they love anything about animals. This is a great show for young and old alike.

We LOVE it....ds liked it at age 8,9 and 12. Never had any droppings, either. Very good show and one to make time for.

Thanks again! i wrote all the tips down! DH will have a $1 in his hand and i won't tell him what it's for he will think he is waving on the popcorn man or something! haha...

thanks for the seating advice too!
