Hello,

Would you please give me your opinion of the best Counter Service spot at AK? Family of four - two teen girls (for which one is an extremely picky eater)

Hi! I know everyone has their own opinion, but for us it is ALWAYS the Flame Tree BBQ. We eat there at least one time with every visit to WDW. My kids (4 year olds) love the outdoor seating and they love when the squirrels and ducks hang around near the tables. I also have picky eaters and they all find something they like on the menu. The adults love the food too. I hope this helps.

We loved Tusker House. I am a very picky eater and the rotisserie chicken was excellent. It more than filled me up and was very "picky eater friendly." We found a table in the littl alleyway outside and had a nice quiet meal.

Flame tree is the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We went there last year with our dining plan and it was great!

I heard Tusker House is no longer open, is this true?

Sadly, Tusker House will close it's doors August 20. It will become a full service buffet for B-fast, Lunch & Dinner-with characters at B-fast only. Expected opening day-as of now-will be mid November.

I am so sad that the Tusker House will be closing. They had THE best CS in all of WDW IMO.

I cannot stand Flame Tree... I've known too many people who have gotten sick off of their food. I can't even stand the smell and not a good variety for picky people.

There's always Pizzafari or the snack stands. AK seriously is missing out by closing down Tusker House IMO

Flame tree is our top pick at AK. And if we aren't in the mood for that, then we do Pizzafari. But we have been known to do Flame Tree more than once during one trip.

We love Pizzafari and have only ever eaten there because I can't get my DH to try something new!

The pizza is pretty standard issue, but the sandwiches are awesome!

My choice too! I've eaten at all 3 CS places-Tusker House, Flame Tree BBQ, and Pizzafari. One of my must-dos at WDW is a hot deli sandwich from Pizzafari.

We LOVED Flame Tree. It was our favorite counter service meal in all of WDW. (I think it was DH's favorite meal of the whole trip, TS included) I could go and just eat the baked beans and be happy. I don't know what they do to them, but those are some good beans!

Too bad my favorite place as a cs tusker house is closing not only did it have ac but a nice salmon & rice ....
Is the donald....open for lunch ??is it inside ( ac ) ???I'll be travelling with dd,ds , ddboyfriend , ds girlfriend if I want them to do all day I'd better refresh them at lunchtime or else i'll loose some players along the way

Pizzafari has tons of indoor seating.
Also be sure to check out the bathrooms - fantastic decorations, even down to the frog-pattern in the floor tile.

Another vote for Flame Tree! Loved their Ribs, 1/2 chicken was a little dry but one of thhe best kids meals in all of WDW, the kids cicken wings were excellent! I would avoid their deserts though!
