I guess that's why we are all lucky WDW has so many choices. Something for everyone.

I think CSR looks nice, and I'd like to stay there sometime. I love the southwest, so the theme appeals to me. I don't mind the thought of conventioneers because that means less crowded busses and more grown-ups.

POR is a nice resort with a lot going for it. The grounds are gorgeous and the boat to DTD is great. The bus service, on the other hand, stinks! So I'd recommend POFQ as opposed to POR. It is smaller, also nicely themed, and the busses pick up and drop off 1st before heading to POR.

All that said, we are staying at AKL ~ savannah view in 15 days, and I can't wait! So that's my #1 pick!

I've stayed at all 3. They are all really nice. If we have the extra money, I'd choose AKL. The theming, food & rooms were really great.

POR was very nice; the theming was wonderful, the food court ok. No problems.

Then I stayed at CSR and loved it. I really like the theming, experienced friendly CMs, had a clean room - and really enjoyed the pool & hot tub. Plus I LOVED the Pepper Market. Well worth the 10% service charge. Not confusing to me, and a great variety of tasty food.

IMO just because other guests experience bad service/CMs at resorts doesn't mean you will.

Personally, I try to pick our resorts based on the theming that appeals to me, as well as the resort features/amenities. I will not steer someone from a resort or restaurant based on my experiences; I can share mine, but it's truly up to each guest to form their own opinions. Saying one resort is better than another is subjective.

we have never stayed at these hotels, but i would choose akl. we went a few times to visit and we had lunch. i could not believe how beautiful it was the first time we walked in. even the bathroom was beautiful....haha. of course my dh really likes animals. we also did go over to csr to visit. it was pretty, i thought it was a very LONG........walk to the pool, but of course we were walking the parks all day. just peeked in the food part. but like i said it looked very niceand clean. we had friends stay at por , so we also ate there with them. but, if we hit the lottery we would like to stay at the akl.
