Hi,

We have a ressie at 5:05 for Boma on a night that the Animal Kingdom closes at 5.

Will the busses still be running to take us back to POFQ after dinner?

Thanks!

Boma is located at Animal Kingdom Lodge not Animal Kingdom Park. You can ask someone at the Lodge what is the best way to return to your resort as the buses don't go directly from resort to resort. I would say taking a bus from Animal Kingdom Lodgeto Downtown Disney and then the boat to Port Orleans would be a good option for you though.

First you do know that Boma is at AK Lodge not AK?

Since AK will have been closed for at least an hour and a half, you will not be able to get to AK to transfer but you should be able to get to any other open park and in an absolute pinch transfer at DTD.

Thanks! I got myself all confused. :headache: I've changed around reservations so many times that I think I've gone a little wack-o.

Ok...so since I will be at the lodge, I can take a bus to Downtown Disney and then to POFQ.

Thanks so much!

Fun! Grab some desert at Ghiradelli's and hop on a boat for nice ride to your resort.

Epcot will still be open, so you could bus there from AKL and then transfer over to the POFQ bus.
DHS might be another option if it is still open when leaving AKL, if it's a monday night there is EMH and DHS is open till 10pm.

IMHO busing to DTD and then either bus or boat to POFQ will take the most amount of time.

Ditto! I love staying at POFQ/POR just for the boat alone. Grab a sundae at Ghiradelli, and then enjoy a leisurely cruise back to your resort!

I avoid transferring at DTD at all costs. There are no ropes to line people up and it becomes a total mad house at night. Personally, I take the first park bus that comes and transfer to POR. The boat from DTD is nice, but it takes a long time and the wait can be quite lengthy as well.

Was at DTD a couple of weeks ago and they now have roped areas for people to line up for the busses but it isn't a very good system(yet). Lines for one bus were all the way down to another stop and people were getting mixed up . But at least Disney is trying to make things more orderly. And even with the mix-ups it was still better than the stampede.

I generally avoid DTD as a transfer pt. as well, but in OP's case they won't have to take a bus from DTD, which is the disorganized part, but can take the boat from DTD to POFQ. If it's cold and rainy I'd do the bus from AKL to an open park then hop on the POFQ bus. If it's a nice evening and OP has room for desert after Boma, I'd do the AKL bus to DTD, wander around DTD, then take a pleasant boat ride from DTD to POFQ.
