Morning all... a little cranky this morning... a bunch of stupid things went wrong last night... and my team lost Had lovely frost warnings last night and this morning I had to turn on the heat. Cranky me just wants to move where I don't have to worry about that

Morning everyone! Church is a little bit later today because the annual festival is today. I'm heading over to Lorraine's house with the kids for Shannon's party, so I get out of working it. Woo hoo!

Poor Matthew! I hope he feels better soon. That was a nasty fall.

We had our first night of bowling last night. I bowled a 122/157/168! Love these new lanes!!!

ok, I have a bunch of readin gto do again Life has thrown us another curve ball. DH will most likely lose his job in the morning. I guess we kinda knew it could happen and would eventually, we just wanted it to be after our trip. The current manager doesn't want any staff left from the previous manager and has come up with bogus charges against the remaining 3 guys. All of them will mostly lose their jobs in the morning. A coworker called them together Friday night and said he saw the termination notices. He says he is quitting in the morning too before the manager can come up with a reason to get rid of him. Although he was hired by the current manager so I'm sure he doesn't have anything to worry about yet. The whole situation is just bad. Dh has a couple of job leads but nothing firm yet. Our trip is paid for but we haven't put food money back yet because it was coming out of the next couple checks. I guess if it isn't one thing it's another
My job is going well though! I was finally set up with internet access so maybe I will be able to keep up more (as long as it isn't blocked for some reason)
Well we are off to eat with my parents and then back here to do some housework and work on DH's resume! Hopefully I will be able to do some catching up later too!

Hi all... back from church and lunch. For all those inclinded to pray, Luis and I could use a ton today... the Browns are playing the Redskins at 1 PM EDT. Being that this is the first time we've been able to watch this one on TV, it could get ugly. THis is also the first time in a long time that the Browns have had a chance of winning... so pray for no bloodshed in the house
(btw, he's originally from DC, hence the love for the Redskins)

Sandi, the only reason why I say is because my husband won't move. He loves the cold weather. Now if my dad ever decided to move south, I'd have a shot at it. Until then.... *sigh* midwest weather for me.

Carolyn, so sorry about your DH's job. I wish you all the best.

Bethany, it was about that in our house this morning too. Cats were extra cuddly

The DIS meet was at a local mall (Square One) food court in front of the Disney Store (of course )
Scrath42 (Janet), TimNDansMom (Julie) and husband (Rudy), Mississaugamom (Arlene) and daughter (Lara), LyndiaSilk (Lyndia)
MaMudduck (Wendy) and daughter (Laureen) were there (I think I did not miss anyone)
Talked about upcoming trips and looked at some of Julie's 2400 pictures on here laptop.

Waiting for the company to arrive. We are going to be having rigatoni and meatballs, chicken, cold cuts, 7 layered salad, baked beans, jello and LK is bringing a veggie tray. I have a feeling i'm going to have lots of leftovers. Anyone wanna come?

How's Matthew today? I HATE going to the emergency room. Glad if it's going to leave a scar it's at least on his forehead. "A jagged scar" made me think of Harry Potter. Was it at least fun before the fall? And I look forward to seeing the picture.

Carolyn, I'm so sorry to hear about your DH's job. Sounds like we may both be in the same boat soon. Hope it doesn't keep you from getting to enjoy your trip. I think I'd do PBJ sandwiches in the room before I'd let it mess that up!

SB, the party sounds great! Wish I lived closer. I'd drop by to give the birthday girl a squeeze. I can never pass up a party if I'm in the neighborhood.

I've said a prayer for Luis and E. Hope all goes well and we don't want pictures if there is bloodshed.

We did Sunday School and church. Then we went out for a quick lunch before heading up to Oklahoma City. Allen drove a group to the airport and returned our church van while I rushed home to get Amy and two of our dogs. We took them to the church for the blessing of the animals. It was great. Sasha wagged and barked the whole time, while Holly shook from horn to hoof. At one point I saw a funny look on the priest's face. Holly was completely under his robes hiding. LOL! She is so shy that she was looking for a place to hide.

Now we are back home. I take Amy to church for youth group tonight and she'll meet up with David there. Allen and I may go out for a bite to eat so we don't have to cook. Hmmm. Maybe I can talk him into a movie? I'll have to see what's showing.

Well, we survived the game. It made it really hard to cheer for my team though (ahem, Browns won ) because he was right next to me. To be nice, I am making his favorite for dinner (he has a thing for my spaghetti... the only thing I make that he says is to die for) and I am trying something new with cheese biscuits to go with.

Mike, sounds like a good time. I met Julie last year as well, and she is so very nice. I can't wait to see pics when they get posted.

Missy, that is so sweet they do that for the animals... I know Gwenie would try to hide like that as well.

Did the church thing then went fall clothes shopping for G, church and school......Found a lot of good deals at the Gap.....I swear G could be a Gap poster child! It's just so easy and they wear well.

Bought him some church shoes made by echo because dillards was giving away a 15 dollar gift card with a purchase of echo shoes.......spent said 15 towards and OU warm up suit. This is our first pair of echo......has anyone else tried them.....are they comfy, good , wear well etc...

I feel like I beat the system today....(I know they doubled their money) just let me have this little victory!! (shoots sideways glance at lou)

Star, sounds like a good deal to me. I have heard of Echo shoes from someone before and they were raving about them. I can't remember who, but I know they loved them.

Finished dinner. The biscuits turned out great actually... I probably should've made them into breadstick shape, but eh on that. I just wish I had paid more attention to how much of everything I added for next time
