The Star Wars movies moved me too.

Of course Luis and I were saying that when we all watched ROTJ, didn't we all think back to TESB and go *ewwwwwww* yeah, that one really moved me ;)

Going to run to Boston Market for lunch... anyone want anything?

Nah..I'm not in the mood for ethnic food today.

Wouldn't Boston be Yankee food? :p

Not that there's anything wrong with that....

I heard that.

Quick Hi and Bye. Off to Target to see if I can find lampshades for our butt ugly dining room chandelier. THe TV is now fixed, it was the main power supply, and only cost $350.00 to repair! Pete isn't too happy about that. But it was cheaper than the HDTV he has been eying.

Yankee food???????????? No grits for you, southern man!

Brian, I really need to listen to you... don't eat and read posts like this while at the keyboard at the same time

Marsha, good luck!! One of the best places I found for lampshades though, was Garden Ridge.

JANUARY?????
Helloooooooooooooooooo

Yeah..............come to think of it January is a great time for you to go Donna:D

Warning, this is long, rambling and personal..feelings will not be hurt if you skim :p

but just to give you a taste of what is going on in the happy AA home:

Abigail was sick over the weekend and missed school Monday

Mrs. AA is getting stressed over several activities she is helping to coordinate and lack of response in her husband in straightening out things in the house :rolleyes1

I received a call Mon night offering me work with my agency in a role playing position for an insurance agency. It is the first time they offered a job rather than an audition in years. The director was going to give me the details the next day

My DH sense finally kicked in early the next morning and I called to cancel without ever finding out how much it paid, etc. Had I taken it and it gone into the afternoon I would have had to:
Miss a day of work, when I'm already planning to take off Friday
Reschedule a dentist appointment
Arrange for someone else to get Mrs. AA to church tonight where she must help organize sign making and speak to the youth about a project

So here's how things work out for the good:

Lela got sick last night...fever and croupy cough. Fortunately, we have not had to carry her to the doctor today, but had I accepted that job I could not cancel and it would have been very bad at home. She is home with Mrs. AA today, of course.

Then Mrs. AA gets a call from a dog trainer she worked with at Southeastern Guide Dogs in Florida. He is now with Guide Dog Foundation in Smithtown NY (Long Island) and she has an application in to receive her next dog.

He's in town doing follow ups and other business and wanted to meet with her today to give a home evaluation to include watching her walk a block and cross a busy intersection. She hasn't done either of those in years!

Add to that the fact that Winston's nails need trimming very bad and she doesn't want the trainer to see him like that (yes, she is paranoid) ;)

We went at lunch to have his nails trimmed at the vet her mother uses. Ours was closed.

We may try to practice walking the routhe tonight; she was able to stall the trainer to come in the morning.

And now she's called to tell me Lela's fever is up and we have a doctor's appointment at 3:15. I just called and cancelled at the dentist; she's cancelling her meeting at church. And since Lela will have to stay at home tomorrow (the school doesn't allow students unless they have been fever free for 24 hours) she is calling the trainer to say she simply can not do it with a sick child at home.

I wonder how bad it will delay her application process?

Anyway..so now I am going home and running Lela to the doctor. Wish us all luck!

I'm home! Mom checked out okay. Yay! She says thanks for the positive thoughts. And I think her new man friend has convinced her to do whatever the doctor says about her heart. He deserves a big hug for that one. What a relief.

Glad your parents have power, AA. Here's hoping your brother will sooon. That was a lot of water up north!

Cami, bet you are anxious to pick up your keys! Now the fun of moving in and getting settled.
