Morning all... zonked out very early last night. I think I am feeling far better today than I did yesterday. Hopefully all the sleep from yesterday/last night helped.

Can't stay long as I need to get ready for church... but the love I feel here is amazing ;)

Glad you are back w/ power, Alan!

I however think that 40 is the new 30::yes::

What she said!!!!! ::yes::

Morning!! It's sunny, clear and CHILLY here this A.M. - just 47 degrees! Glad EB's soccer game isn't until 12:30 when the :sunny: should warm us up a bit.

Sending good wishes to our Pittsburgh angels, I saw some news coverage of terrible floods.

We're getting ready for breakfast and then our friend are headed back to NJ. It was a nice, but short, visit. We'll be heading down their way for New Years.

Have a great day everyone. :wave2:

Morning.
This past weekend is a weekend I'd sure like to forget.
As my roof isn't done being shingled, I was a wee bit nervous to say the least. But Billy tarped the entire roof and everything was fine. We stayed dry. But his office/shop was flooded, so he spent most of the day there yesterday cleaning it out.

Alan, glad to hear your home all is well and your electric is back on. AFter having the news on all weekend and seeing the devastation in Alabama, my heart goes out to those poor people.

Donna, thanks for the link! I bookmarked it.

Gail, chilly here too! (and we have no heat)

Someone please remind me to hound the heck out of my heating guy to get my new ductwork completed. He's being slow and we're freezing here!!
The new windows, sky lights, and sliding glass doors are due in in another week, can't wait. And the electrician needs to finish re-wiring the house.

I actually love the 40's! You have a lot more freedom and time to do what you want. I was too busy in my 30's raising kids!

Morning All!

Sandi - i hope Billy didn't lose too much in his store.

It is pretty chilly out there, but i am still planning on going to the game today w/ Brendan. i told Shannon that i have to take him to something for school. it is just too hard w/ her coming along, and she doesn't pay attention to the game anyway.

THANK YOU SANDI!! I always knew I liked you better than Donna:p ;) :p

Should we accept that as an apology
Absolutely not!! She should pay dearly for that remark !!!;) :p ;)

itebay emay onnaday

Good Morning :sunny:
We are getting ourselves together and are going to head out for apple and raspberry picking.
I dont think Sam is going to be able to eat any of the apples, his top tooth is very loose. Then again, maybe a couple bites will get the tooth out for him ;)

I am home. The class was not really appropriate to the kind of therapy I do but at least I have credit I need for my license renewal. And I didn't fall asleep once.

Star, congrats to g. That is great.

Glad everyone is safe. We lost electric yesterday for ~2 hours. And a tornado touched down in the county killing two women.

And regarding the age comments, I am old enough to be some your mothers. I breezed through the 40's. Hitting 50 was hard but now I don't feel a day over 35.

Stuff to do before Youth Fellowship at church tonight.

BTW, Sarah survived the game yesterday but Maryland lost in overtime.

Through the clean up I was able to catch some of the games yesterday.

Alabama was decisively as was expected against a 1AA team  but the starting quarterback is now out for the season

He was reinjured in a non-contact play. This does not bode well for the season, but I'll still "Roll Tide" all the way.

Auburn, however, defeated defending national champs LSU!

War Eagle!

(Yes, I'm a fence straddler...I didn't attend either university to it's nothing for me to lose sleep over) :teeth:

Oh well, back to cutting grass......

AA, David is an Auburn fan. That's one of his favorite football teams and he says they have a swim team, too. I'm going to have to find him a baseball cap one of these days.

Star, David is part of Medical Post 901. They do some of the stretchers for each home game. He doesn't usually work the stretcher team unless he's afraid he won't get to use my ticket. ;) He much prefers to watch the whole game. And yes, they were short on stretcher teams yesterday. His team had the entire east side of the stadium and they took out 6 people. One lady was very disoriented and asked where she was. When they told her she was at the stadium, she asked if she was part of the game? I hope she was okay.

Oh, and congrats to G! Tell hime we're proud of him.

Glad Sarah was okay. You guys have all had a bad stretch of weather! Glad that none of you seem to have had much damage. How bad was the flood at the shop, Sandi?

Glad to hear E's feeling better today. I've got a tight muscle across my chest. It hurts when I reach. I think I slept funny because I was fine last night. Guess that means I should just sit and watch a good movie?

Apple and raspbery picking? Mmmm. That sounds good. You going to make us a pie?

Better go light a fire under David. He needs to head to church in a few minutes for his first Confirmation class. I've got to pry him away from whatever football game he's currently watching.

If your spouse ever says he's hanging a fly strip to catch the flies that keep coming into the house, be sure to ask where he's hanging it. I speak from experience.

I just went into the kitchen to throw something in the trash. I bent over the trash can, and when I pulled back something grabbed my hair and yanked HARD! I yelled and fought back, but it won. The fly strip was wrapped around my head and DH had to come free me from the goo. Then I had to wash my hair to get most of the sticky residue out. I'm still not sure I got it all.

Watching the Steelers proved to be aggravating as usual! grrrr!

Good thing I didnt totally waste my afternoon......

made a yummy dinner while I suffered....

roast beef, mashed potatoes, carrots, fresh green beans, and coleslaw. Plus hot homemade apple crisp with vanilla ice cream for dessert!

Who wants to come for dinner? I have plenty! :teeth:

I'm in Donna. It sounds yummy. Just warning you though, it'll take me a few days and my hair will be standing up on top, like in Something About Mary. :teeth:
