for SIX hours at the Local Home Depot store to meet Tony Stewart...he was thrilled when he finally got to meet him and get his autograph:

we met a ton of drivers, AJ met Kenny Wallace, while he was on the phone with his brother Rusty Wallace:

we also stood in line to meet Casey Mears (he's kinda cute too)

Neil had a real "fan moment" meeting Kurt Busch, who ultimately won the race at Loudon on Sunday. He was a REALLY nice guy, and spent a good bit of time talking to Neil:

That's about it for the weekend....oh yeah, other than almost dying in a car accident....but obviously that didn't happen....more on that later....

We're back! I hope it's for real this time.

I have a beautiful, new dishwasher. I ALMOST hate to mess it up with dirty dishes. But the lunch dishes dove right in. Ahhhh. More time for me. Can't wait to run it tonight.

It's a pretty day here. Nice and sunny but not too warm. I love days like this.

My baby birds are in flight school again today. It's so much fun to watch them. After they fly with Mom, Dad and older brothers and sisters (from the last brood) they take a long nap in the nest. It's cute. Their older siblings are even coming in to help feed them - I read that they'll do that. Sometimes we have as many as 8 helpers around the four babies. The bad news is we are taking turns with scooper duty on the front porch. They are not litter trained or anything.

Star, sounds like the doc has some good ideas. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get great news soon. I agree about Red Lobster, BTW.

SB, glad they can come soon. I'll hope that the rain stops soon, so you can swim when you get back from vacation.

Sounds like fun, E. I just found out that DH's cousin and their DD are at Disneyland this week. It's a small world. Can't wait to hear what you think about the California Disney experience. I haven't been there since I was three and we contemplate heading west every time we take a trip. It seems to lose out because it's less park than in Florida. I want to know if it's worth it to make the change if you only get to go every 2 or 3 years?

Guess I'd better go do a load of dirty clothes and pick up a little. Amy and I both need haircuts, so I should call about that too, now that I don't need to stay here waiting for the dishwasher.

My SIL and I are taking my kids along w/ Joe's cousins kids to see Hillary Duff tonight. I would rather be home - I don't know why I decided to do this other than the tkts being free.

I see in today's paper that young Miss Duff is being used by Gillette to judge the best legs in NYC contest. Are any of the angels entered?

I don't think I will be doing any dancing Alan. The kids will all be sitting in one row, and the adults will be a couple of rows back. I should have brought my son's GameBoy to keep me busy.

very bummed out yesterday...."working at home" all afternoon and no Dis

We had a very busy weekend, took hubbies mum and gran out on friday night, had my sisters kids all day saturday (she was at a concert), took the boys to see spiderman while mum and dad had the baby, sunday our cousins were over so had a big family day

went to see a mortgage advisor yesterday.....looking good, but loads to think about

out drinking wine on the patio with mum and dad just now...will be back later
