I worked a full day yesterday .... major implementation happening at work .... but my part balanced to the penny so I was very happy ! Now I have today and tomorrow to relax.....visiting my parents today, Dad is riding in the Memorial Day parade with the DAV and then it's off to my friend's for a picnic ....

Tomorrow I hope to do NOTHING

We are all pretty tired here. Leah's dance recital was 4 hours long last night. She did a great job. IMO, they could have shaved at least 1.5 hours off by limiting the older girls to no more than maybe 4 or 5 numbers. I keep seeing the same faces over and over and over and over again.

Have a great day. We have a few things to get done in the yard today before it starts raining.

The school they mention is Dylan's elementary
This is the first time an officer has been shot in our sleepy little town since 1975
The house must have been 1/4 mile from me
We slept right through it
I have heard that the kid had a history of horrifying behavior

I hear you, LK. Amy's recital grows longer and longer, too. Personally, I think they need to divide it into two recitals. Maybe even a Saturday afternoon and the same Saturday evening. I know, that means some of the girls have to do both, but one could be the ballet with the story that hangs together. The other part could be the little girls ballet and all the jazz, tap and modern.

Sandi the wedding sounds wonderful. I'm glad you had such a delightful day! I thought of you often.

Carol, I am glad you were able to find such a deal for the swimsuits. I agree, Speedos are way too expensive full price!!!

Donna, all I can say to Dan is Sounds exactly like something Luis would do But I guess it might have been wise for him to go out after all that Did you manage to get any shopping done? I had good luck today and felt good as I was able to fit into the next size down on some of the dresses (one strapless was too small in the chest though). But I did find a replacement dress for only $26!!!

Lou, I know that picture was supposed to be funny, but I love it... soooooo cute!!!

I was in dancing school for 14 years and the first year I was out I went to the recital as a member of the audience .... I had a new found admiration for my parents for sitting through those
looooooooong shows all those years just for me !!

Mp hope the Dh is feeling better, did ya'll have any tornado's last night? I was up til 2 watching a huge super cell move down the turnpike towards me and then right when it was supposed to get here it went up and then moved on down the road (phew!)

I'm skipping church today too, G slept til 10:30, poor little guy the weather really wore him out. No real plans for the day , the sun is looking like it might peek out and if it stays we might go swiming.

I think I'm finally ready to go on a diet, I've picked up a few pounds(ok more than a few) in the last month and all of this talk of shopping for smaller sizes and exercise has inspired me. Thanks guys

No time for a catch up. It's been very busy here this weekend and I still have more things to do. Next stop is a birthday party for our friends daughter. :cake
An old friend of mine from high school was rushed to the hospital yesterday and may not make it. He is such a great person. It is so aweful to know we may lose this wonderful caring person.
The bird has returned again to the chimney so I have to go chase it off again
Hopefully I can do a proper catch up this evening.

Hi all!

Well, Dan ended up getting 8 stitches and was at the hospital for 2 1/2 hours....(holiday weekend: very busy).......It is hurting him a little and is very black and blue and swollen today....but I think he will live.......... (and it must not have hurt too much b/c he still went to his poker game last night)!

Work was not too bad today....steady but not crazy.
Not sure if we are doing anything tonight....my other picnic got cancelled (due to lack of organization on the part of my aunt) so we are free.

A funny story though: Sue and I usually ride together when we work but I was only working 8 hours instead of 12 so i never made arrangements to ride with her. So instead I decide to call her this AM on my way to work (6:15 am) and she answers and says: why on earth are you calling me now? I got her days mixed up ....she is working tomorrow instead of today....OOOPS!
She said she was up though and wasnt mad at me! LOL

Sandi: the wedding sounds wonderful ....cant wait to see pics! I kept thinking of you all yesterday.....it couldn't have been a more beautiful day weather wise!
