I have enough trouble staying logged in as myself when Amy is at home. I have no desire to have to deal with an alter ego. So count me out as one of the "newbies".

I prayed last night for Joe's surgery and again this morning. Hope everything went well. My mom has had trouble with bone spurs. They are the worst!

Good luck with the grass cutting and un-roofing, Alan. Sounds like an exciting weekend!

I saw The King and I a few years ago in Tulsa with Haley Mills. It was great!

I'm tired from staying up so late last night. And Allen was tossing and turning. I'm not sure why he was so restless. So it was an interesting night. It never stormed. I'm not sure if it rained, though. I had on a fan last night and that sometimes masks the sound of rain.

SB hope the surgery went well

MP glad the mean ole' storms left you alone!!

For the record, none of these new cats are meowing with an Alabama accent
knew this ::yes:: be safe today Alan.

I had to get up at 7 this morning (I YI YI) to get my DS ready for his first day of Jr. Golf (he's finally old enough). It takes place every Friday for the whole summer, we are currently doing lessons... today was chipping.

*Brag Alert, not for the faint of heart*

G was the youngest one out there and the most accurate. I started teaching him golf when he was 2; I guess mom does know a few things. ;)

It was kind of neat to see him out there doing his Jr. Golf thing in the very same place I played Jr. Golf. (Awwwww)He was nervous this morning but ended up having a blast. My dad came to the lesson and was all nostalgic about when he stood there and watched me it was really sweet. I've always been a daddy's girl but I've got nothing on my son Daddy adores him, kind of the son he never had. In a weird way it's kind of I dunno heart warming to know that I was able to give my DD a gift in return.

When the DH and I got married I told him I wanted to live and raise our children here because of the wonderful summers I had as a kid. (Where we live there are 2 golf courses and I grew up on one and now live on the other) G's already begging to take tennis lessons. I know it sounds like a lot for such a little kid but it’s kind of a way of life here. I would get up around 8 go play golf have some lunch hit the pool, play some tennis and hit the pool again then go home around dinner time. We were never bored and stayed out of trouble (well except for the times we would steal the TP out of the half way houses and go paper the boy’s houses.) SHHHHH don’t tell!!

Sorry to babble I'm just having one of those very rare good mommy feelings, every once in a while it's good to actually "know" you made the best decision for your child. lol ok ok I’m done!

Star, thanks for the w00t link!

As for being confused, it seems that some of our new members are taking personnas of different people to confuse us. So far they have acted like Monkeyboy, Cami, Brian, Donna, Lars, Mike, Alan & LK. Hard to hit a moving target. Don't be surprised if there is some screen name sharing going on that is actually making some of these names really representative of different people. :rolleyes1

Let them just try to pretend to be me.....:smooth:

Who's pretending to be me? How das't they! The heinous rascals!

Although I have been told that imitation is the most sincere form of flattery! ;)

You'll all notice I managed to stay under the radar on that particular diatribe by Lou....guess it really is true...I am an

I was going to ask the same question

Mike.....you were going to really say " the heinous rascals"?

That statement is SO Brian.....no one else talks like that!;) :teeth: :wave2: Brian!

And Star: I love when a mom moments sneaks up on you....those are the best kind!::yes:: :teeth:

OK I would not have called you heinios rascals. Howver was going to ask who is pretending to be me?

Sweet story Star! (MP makes a mental note to never play tennis or golf with Star because it sounds like she'd be good. Heck, MP reminds herself never to PLAY tennis or golf period!)

I don't think anyone is pretending to be me. Although it wouldn't be hard. They'd just have to rattle on and on endlessly in their posts. What can I say? That's the way I talk, so it's the way I write. ;)

We might be going to see Harry Potter today. I'm knocking on wood. I think the messy room is almost finished. FINALLY!!! ::yes:: Please cross your fingers!

I'm still puzzling over a pile of photos. I'm trying to date them and put them in the right photo files. Grrrrr. Why don't I put them in there when I get them? Some of them are hopelessly scrambled. I swear someone shuffled them like a deck of cards. No wonder I'm so far behind in my scrapbooking. I don't know what to scrap! Today's mantra is "I will always file my photos the day I receive them!" I need to write that at least 100 times on the chalkboard.

Star, that was such a sweet story there!!! So nice you can pass on a bit of "tradition" like that.

Oh and I had to laugh at the w00t link! The one thing I am shocked about was the lack of 1337 speak mentioned :p
For anyone who understands what 1337 speak is will laugh that my husbands IM name is his username1337... goofy boy :p

You knwo I only know one other who refers to people as rascals and I believe he has only been here a few times... thta was before Brian too I think... wonder if it is one and the same :p

Tired and don't feel that well today. Taking off in about 30 minutes I think.

Megan is baby sitting today & Matthew's at a birthday party so Dylan & I went to see Shreck 2..........:teeth: We both enjoyed it!

Someone is pretending to be me:eek: how would someone do that??? make tons of typos??:rotfl:

Afternoon All!

Just a quick check in since the boards are really slow.

DH is fine. His surgery was less than an hour, but the waiting afterwards took sooooo long. We arrived about 6:45 and didn't leave until 12:30. I was so hungry and cold inside there. He feels good enough to ignore using the crutches - I don't think the nurse was too happy about that though.

Will check back later.

Bah, nurses..what do they know?

Oh, is that you Sue and Donna? :teeth:

Ducking and running for cover

Hey Lorraine, was this surgery planned or was it a spur of the moment thing?

Glad all is well....:wave2:

Lou..Lou...you are such a heel

I can see why I do my DISsing at work; this is especially slow on my dial-up connection here!

However, since so many of the Angels/Cherubs/Cats use AOL IM (I have MSN messenger) I am installing it on my home PC even as we speak. (Can't do at work)

Almost every name I chose was in use, so I am bamaalanp

Now to install the software....

If the rain goes away (I did get the grass cut thankfully) Abigail and I are going to have a Daddy-Daughter day at the zoo.

Lorraine, I'm glad to hear it went well for Hopalong O'Brien...
