Morning...although it feels like mid-afternoon for me. We were alwake by 7 so Lew & I went over to the high school track and walked 2 miles. Gotta get into shape for Disney!! I've always liked the following definition for the letters of EPCOT:
Every Person Comes Out Tired!!!

Then we stopped to pick up some impatiens and I've already planted them in the front yard. Now it's time for a shower...and a nap!!! Matt has a 5 p.m. game but that's it on the sports planner for today. After the game they're going to hang out with their cousin and we're not sure what we're going to do.

I'm so glad the weather is nice in Pittsburgh for Sandi!

WOOT I got chills just thinking about the wedding, CAN NOT wait to hear all about it! I'm so glad ya'll are having good weather. My wedding day was cloudy and it tried to sprinkle for one second but it never did rain. Did ya'll have good weather on your big day??

The club opens the pools today (finally) but it's cloudy and windy out I might check the listings and see if there is a movie G and I can go see. I rented 3 last night....Master and Comander, Calendar Girls & Beyond Borders but they are all pg-13 and up so I'm going to have to wait until after g goes to bed. DH is having a midnight sale all weekend I feel bad for him and it makes the "holiday" a bummer for us. We might have to go by his work and make a surprise visit with some goodies!!

Donna, I still hate bathing suits as well!!! I looked quickly today and I really should look harder since I am sure that there are good memorial day sales. I didn't see anything though and I was hungry so lunch won out on me I'll try again later. Good luck shopping yourself!!! That is great that you have to shop for that reason as well!!!

Star, I hope you can find soemthing good to do today. It is sunny here but would be too cold for swimming as well.

DD and I went swim suit shopping last night at Kohl's. She found several Speedo racing type suits to chose between. Got a nice one at 50% off. They are too exoensive at full price. All the ones in my styles had the built up bras that I don't like so nothing for me.

Well....we are back from our picnic.

Dan is on his way to the hospital to get a stitch put in the huge gash that he got in between his toes. We decided that we didnt all need to go and sit there.

Half of his company is from Brazil and they decided to play soccer.......Dan only had sandals so he decides to play barefoot. Next thing I know Kaitlin is running towards me yelling: Mom, Mom...Dad is bleeding! (Her urgency has me thinking he split his head open... )

Turns out to be a small cut in between his toes but probably needs a stitch or two.

The best part of this story is we were finally about to leave (5 mins from freedom! LOL) and he lets them coerce him into playing. I even said to him: are you sure you want to get started in that.....I thought we were leaving. He says Oh, just for a minute or two.


Then he tells me....oh, after I get this done I will probably go right to the poker game..........(that he has at a friends house tonight).
Can you all tell how happy I am?


(ok...thanks....vent over!)

The cats and I plan to go to bed early tonight since I am working tomorrow!

I think Sandi had a perfect day for a wedding! It was a little on the cool side which is good for the guys.

Donna - glad you had fun at the picnic. that will teach Dan to listen to you next time when you want to leave!

Carol - I had a Speedo before, but didn't like the cut. I prefer Nautica's now - very comfortable. Glad your DD found one she liked.

Gail - walk a couple of laps for me next time!

We got to the soccer field today, and lo and behold, got a great parking space because.........















there was NO game today!!!!!!!!!!! The coach and his DD was there and us. no one else! It seems DH heard a guy going around 2 weeks ago telling everyone that there won't be a Saturday game, only a Memorial Tourney. But he didn't bother to tell me! I even had LK's Leah over to watch him play! Oh well.

I think we are about ready for visitors tomorrow. Have to leave here by 10:15 to get DS. And after that the festivities begin. I better get a good nights sleep tonight.

Evening!!!!

We had a nice afternoon and evening. Matt's team came from behind for a win at baseball and then Lew & I got some time on our own since the kids are with their cousin. We took a ride to the beach and then stopped for a drink and some nachos on the way home. We were in a sports bar/restaurant (Smokey Bones if you've heard of it) and got to watch part of the Pirates/Cubs game.

Oh Donna, sorry about Dan's accident. I'm also sorry that you were so close to escaping! Hope you have a quiet day at work tomorrow.

Lorraine - gotta love those kids leagues sometimes.

Very late, very tired, but I wanted to say hi to you all

Morning! We had the Best Day Ever!!

Our Day started at 5:30 a.m. I slipped into BB's room and woke her up with a kiss on her cheek and said Happy Wedding Day sweetie. She had a big smile on her face.
At 6:30, we were both showered (men still sleeping of course) and the doorbell was ringing, it was our hairdresser. She did BB's hair up in soft curls and put her tiara and veil on for her.
She was then off to the church with the bridesmaids to dress.
I then got my hiar done and tipped Vicki generously for getting up at the crack of dawn for us. God Bless Her.
At the church the girls were all in the big room getting ready, doing makeup, dressing and eating bagels. We finally let the photographer in and he started taking photos.
The Processional started at 10:00 as soon as I was seated, escorted by my handome DH Billy.
The flower girl, Nesta, and ring bearer, Kieran, were too adorable for words. She dropped petals down the aisle and there were ahh's from the guests. BB was escorted by her Dad and while she was walking down the aisel, I noticed tears in Andy's eyes.
You all would have been so proud of me, I didn't cry. I got a tear in each eye when BB said her vows, which I quickly dabbed away but that was the extent of it. I was smiling.
After the ceremony and pictures, my friends, Jean & Chuck picked BB and Andy up in their Model A Ford. They had a sign and baloons on the back and they were sipping champagne in the car. I got photos!
They were announced at the Grand Concourse and came down the big Marble steps. We did some family photos on these steps as well, they're beautiful.
The Reception went wonderfully! The food was excellent and the chocolate fountain was such a hit!
At 4:00 we all went up to Mt. Washington to Grandview Avenue. We had the party room there and stayed until after 9:30 until the fireworks were over. The Bride and Groom left around 7:00, as they had a very early flight to Cancun this morning.
The Day couldn't have been any more perfect, and the weather was gorgeous, sunny, but not too hot!
I'm going to drop off some film this morning so I'll definately have some photos later this afternoon. I can't wait to see them.
I finally had a good night's sleep, and I'm having some out of town family this morning for breakfast.
