If you are willing to cut up some fruit, nothing beats mixing a block of softened cream cheese with a jar of marshmallow cream. You can add a bit of cinnamon if desired, but plain is so good that you want to eat it with a spoon! I send it to the school parties sometimes and it's always GONE!

I have made this in the past and served it from a hollowed out pineapple. Looks good and picks up some of the pineapple flavor. I usually keep some ina bowl plain in case people dont like pineapple.

Good Morning All!

I'm back!!!!:teeth: :wave2:

I survived (barely)! I tried to come home last night but my kids gave me the sad puppy dog faces and Kaitlin cried..... ..so I had to stay the last night! (It was very er..quiet...without you LK! )::yes:: :teeth:

I read through the thread real fast but my tub is calling my name......::yes:: :hyper: :teeth:

We didnt want you to miss out on all of the fun.....
Plus we wanted to invite you to go next year! :teeth: ;)

I saw your number on my caller id.....you didn't leave a message though:(

and as far as going along next year???? how far away is the nearest Hilton????:p ;) :p

We didnt leave a message because it was early on a Saturday and we decided someone might have been lucky enough to be sleeping in!

And did I forget to mention? Next year...camping is in Cancun!;) ::yes:: :teeth: :hyper: :sunny:

Just letting you guys know that Elaine made it there without a problem.

Thanks for telling us Luis! Glad she got there safely.

Welcome home to the campers. Take a long hot bath and relax. You deserve it!

We went to church and then to a deli for lunch. The guys got haircuts on the way home. I have several things to do before we go to Oklahoma City to meet Allen's parents for dinner. Allen's aunt and uncle are passing through and we wanted to see them.

I'm getting ready to try to get the digital photos out of the camera. It's the first time since we got the new computer, so we'll see how it goes.

Glad E! arrived safely.

I went to church at the same church I visited last week. One of DD's good friend and his family were there so I sat with them. The pastor really wowed me with her sermon. I have never done an altar call but if she had had one, I might have gone up. It was a very moving sermon.

Dreary weather here today. Went grocery shopping then watched Unwrapped In DisneyWorld on the Food Network. Now I am going to make some BBQ chicken on the grill.

OK!!! I'm Back Too!!!!

Any body miss me??? I thought not! :p

Leanne and I just got back from our weekend trip to Kansas City. We stayed at the Hotel Raphael in the Country Club Plaza section of the city. Very nice. This is the same section of town that the Mickey's that have been touring the country will be appearing next month. Lot's of trendy, upscale shopping for DW and a great bookstore for me to wait out the shopping in. ;)
We went to a steakhouse for dinner ( when in Rome, eh?) and I had the first potatoes I have eaten in three months ( hand-made french fries.....ate 'em all :teeth: ). After dinner, walked back to the hotel, stopped at Starbuck's and had coffee overlooking the river. It was an amazingly cool, enjoyable night for the end of July in Missouri.
This morning, after breakfast, we drove to Kansas, toto, and stopped at the biggest furniture store I have ever seen in my entire life. It's called The Nebraska Furniture Mart and it is OMG huge. And it has almost everthing, from computers and furniture (that's where I was ;) to kitchen appliances to bedroom furniture to rugs and hardwood floors. Amazing. We spent a couple of hours there and then headed back east.....stopping in Columbia for pizza (FINALLY!!!!) at Shakespeare's and also I found an early version of Douglas Southall Freeman's "Lee's Lieutenant's Vol. 1"
in hardcover at a used books store.
Glad to see the Cranberries have made it home safely from camp.. I just felt terrible all weekend knowing I was staying in a four-star hotel, while they were wading through mud waist deep and sleeping in a barn.

SB - Sorry about the pool. You should have it up in time for the heat of August though.
E! Have a great time at DL!!!!
That's about it for now............this post is long enough and I have laundry to do! :p

Welcome Back Brian!

that cushy hotel while I am in a barn thing........ouch! LOL!
I bet you felt REALLY bad about that!

I am glad that you and Leanne had a great time!

:wave2: Carol....don't talk to yourself!:teeth:

Long day, just sitting down for a sec before I fold some clothes. We prepped the house to paint today by taking down the shutters, power washing, scraping and sanding. Hope the weather will cooperate so we can paint next weekend.

I took EB to the doctor this morning. He doesn't think it's strep but did a culture anyway. We'll know the results tomorrow. Her tonsils are swollen and her throat's uncomfortable.

Welcome home Brian and Donna! :wave2: Sounds like you both had fun doing totally different things this weekend.

Carol - I frequently feel like I'm talking to myself
(no you're not..........yes you are........stop bickering!)

Glad to hear E arrived safely, thanks for the update Luis!

Hope the pictures work well with the new computer MP.

Lars - I'll be your roommate at the Hilton next year! ::yes::

Hi Gang!

Glad to hear E made it safely. Hope you are having fun!!!!!

Gail - what a terrible thing for a kid to be sick during summer. hope she feels better. sorry about the dunk tank, i was hoping for a good story.

Lars - you didn't like my recipes?:(

Donna - glad you made it through Saturday night w/o LK. I'll camp w/ you next year!

Carol - nice picture of Sarah and her b/f.

Brian - i bet they were the best tasting fries and pizza you ever had! i can't believe you made it that long w/o them. You go guy!

MP - when one appliance goes, they all seem to go.

Bethany - I'm going to try that pineapple suggestion!

Went to my Dad's today for his 75th b'day party. We had a great time and ate tons of food. They have an inground pool, so the kids were having a blast jumping in. I washed the van and the car today, so I just know it's going to rain soon.

SB, happy birthday to your dad!

No problems with the digital pictures. Now I just need to blow some light in a few and upload them to Ofoto. I also need to get the scanner set up so I can scan some old pictures Mom loaned me.

Brian, were the prices good on the appliances? If the current trend continues, I may need to go see my uncle in Kansas City and clean them out. LOL! I was born in Kansas City, MO, and lived in Kansas City, KS until I was six.

Poor EB. Hope it isn't strep. My kids both had to get their tonsils out. No fun.

Slight vent. Allen's aunt keeps putting pressure on my kids. She thinks they need to spend a lot more time with their grandma and grandpa. She wants them to run up there after David's swimming or band camp and before Amy's ballet. She doesn't really understand that teenage kids have a life outside lessons. I don't want my kids to feel forced to entertain grandparents.

Hi all... 19 hours and going strong...
okay, maybe not *strong* but still going

I am on dial up so this is awful right now. Really I've had worse but compared to what I am used to...

We all made it safely (isn't Luis a dear for letting y'all know :teeth: ) and I have already had my share of sun on me and a good time so far. The room is gorgeous with a beautiful view. Right now the door the the balcony is open and I can hear the music from downtown Disney. Definitely different than WDW, but it is so neat to see the differences in the rides and all... and it is so small here. Not bad at all though, I am so happy and blessed to be here.

Anywho... I need to do some looking up of AP discounts for Nancy. I'm going to do my best to stay up another hour before calling it quits for the night.

I'll check in later :wave2:

Hi Lou :wave2:

Just watched the fireworks from our balcony... gotta look at pics now. Took 243 pics today :)
