LOL, Lorraine, you know how to make a woman feel loved. I'll be around tomorrow. I just found out that mapquest states it will take an hour to get there... given my little speedy car (boy I miss the snide comments John would make there) I should get there in about 45 minutes so I will have time at home to finish some things up

Sounds like you might have wore yourself out today with all that yard work though. We had some awful storms blow though here so I hope you won't get them quite as bad.

I just received the opportunity to purchase this photo of Sarah receiving her diploma. It would be nicer if it was the principal shaking her hand, not the man from the school board who I did not know at all.

I think we will have to at least get one.

Allen worked on the computer again tonight. It's weird. It's problems are similar to what it did before, so he's been poking around to find the problem. And tonight I think we figured it out. We need a new computer. Smoke came out of it. So Allen is shopping. We can salvage parts of this one. DH is good at that. Please cross your fingers that nothing important was lost. My cruise pictures were all on the hard drive. I hadn't had a chance to burn a cd since the trip. Allen thinks they'll still be there.

Sandi, I was afraid of that. At least you now have medicine to make you better.

Glad to hear that EB is feeling a little better.

I still need to catch up. Thank you for all the hugs. ( I did read todays) Trixie crossed the Rainbow Bridge at 4:30 today. Her vet was scheduled off but came in for her. They gave us a plaster heart with her name stamped in it and a paw print. There has been alot of tears today. I took Nick to a Columbus Clippers game tonight to keep him distracted. Everything went great until we got home and I realized I had left Trixie's medicines on the counter. Oh how she hated taking those pills!! The other cats and the dog are still looking for her. Dh is heartbroken. She was his baby. Needless to say I'm exhausted so I think I will head to bed. Night all.

Not much to report here for today. Took Sam to baseball this afternoon. MIL was coming to babysit at 4:00. At 2:45, just as we were leaving the gym my phone rings. "WHERE are you?!?!?!" umm, just leaving the gym, why. "Im already at you house, you should be here' ummm, you are over an hour early, how was I to know. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
So we had to hustle home, but it gave me the chance to have a few hours to myself. I went and got my nails done then wandered around Border's until it was time to go to work.
Told ya, boring day.

That stinks Merry! Computer troubles are the worst, but smoke??? Wow, I hope you'll be able to recover most that you wanted to. Even if your computer won't start back up, take the hard drive out, set it to "slave" status on the new computer and you might get lucky. I've had to do that wiht one of mine in the past.

Carolyn I am so very sorry for the loss of Trixie I wish I had more comforting words for you...

Nothing on the schedule for the next few days thankfully. I think we might head down to the Aviary tomorrow. I haven't been there since the kids were in preschool. I need to get a haircut soon. It's driving me crazy.

Hey Again,
Getting the boys ready for their canoe trip this weekend....NOW would be a good time to make sure all the parts are in the tent bag.
Just watching the news this morning and I learned that a friend of Neil's (Neil was a groomsman in his wedding) was injured in Iraq yesterday. Reports are that he was injured in a grenade attack, but they are non life threatening....which is GOOD NEWS.
Neil was in Nat'l Guard with Don, and was actually his squad leader. The next report was that up to 15K inactive reserves will be called up.....DH has about 3 years left on his inactive status
If you'd all spare a good thought for Don, his wife, Karen, and kids, I'm sure they'd appreciate it.

Adding my own request in that respect. Our pastor leaves tomorrow for the US base in Quatar to serve as its' chaplain for the next 3 weeks. He's a Lt. Colonel in Air Force Reserve and has already spent time at the Pentagon immediately following 9/11. Please keep him in your thoughts these next few weeks, as he'll be in a dangerous area in a very dangerous time.
